“Street food cafe with friendly atmosphere and great music”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

The idea is simple - offer up some of the tastiest treats from all over the world in a super fresh just made five minutes ago style and with most dishes being £4 or thereabouts.

The place has a great relaxed decor with artwork that is quirky and cool in equal measures - generally great music being played in the background

The menu changes fairly regularly but recent dishes have included:

Chicken picadillo empadinhas

Larb Gai (thai minced chicken salad)

Porkulator (pinapple cooked pulled pork with lime and avacado)

They also do more familiar stuff like Goulash, Chilli, Hot Dogs, Tacos and so on but miles better than your average place. It's mainly a breakfast and lunch place but they stay open for special occasions and on Thursdays sometimes.

“excellent alternative to boring sandwich places”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Located in the currently buzzing Strathbungo area of Glasgow's southside, No Way Back is a small independently owned cafe that serves an exciting menu of freshly prepared soups, stews, tacos, gourmet hot dogs, bagels and all sorts of other delicious treats. The emphasis seems to be on globally inspired flavours, lots of spicing and good seasoning and general tastiness, something lots of other places seem to have forgotten about. With a few menu staples plus a continually updated specials board, NWB offers something delightfully refreshing compared to the usual overpriced sandwich shop with which Glasgow seems to be overrun. Very reasonably priced, they also do great coffee (best espresso in the area in my opinion), and also offer a selection of home baked cakes, brownies etc. Although small, it is family friendly, offering high chairs for young kids. They usually open from 8am-4pm mon-sat, and also offer a more traditional breakfast selection of rolls, eggs etc. Really worth checking out if you are looking for an alternative to the mundane cafe experience
