Paid £60 a night for a two-night stay in August, which included breakfast, which seemed remarkably cheap so I was a little nervous about the hotel. I needn't have worried. The room was a decent size, with a good-sized wardrobe, bedside tables, desk and small TV, and the bathroom was small but fine. All the staff were polite and helpful, and breakfast was of an acceptable standard in a small but clean dining room.
The room was a tiny bit noisy - traffic noise was quite audible - and there were a few minor issues (our room was on the lower-ground floor and the windows looked out onto a fire escape, which could have done with a sweep; and the seals around the shower door could have done with a bit of a scrub), but overall the standard of cleanliness was high and I thought it a very good budget hotel.
Location-wise, it was reasonably central, and within a ten-minute walk of the shopping district of town. Lots of bars on the same street as the hotel - although very student-based!
Would stay here again.More
