Ok so 2 long-term and 2 new members of the GCC attended on Saturday 5th April. Here is our review:
Location - excellent. Parking - not too bad especially after 6pm when it's free.
Restaurant welcoming: good - someone at the door always and once inside its a clean fresh well laid out dining area.
Table service only, great menu, lots of choice. Drinks slightly pricey.
Starters: we went for a mixture of pakora and chicken chaat. Poppadom and spiced onions also. All good. Pakora was crisp and fresh. Chicken chaat was served with a Balbirs-style tomato and zesty sauce. Not enough of the starters for the money, hence the 4 stars and not 5.
Mains: good portions, well cooked and well presented. Garlic naan and a peshwari naan. Boiled rice. All very tasty. One comment: why not try tiffin-style portions for half the price and let the diners try multiple dishes?
More lager, again pricey, hence the reduced rating from 5. Realistically this is a great restaurant and we are, perhaps because of the variety of restaurants in Glasgow which are excellent, difficult to totally please.
We would strongly suggest trying the Rawalpindi - it is very good.
