Description: Opened in 1998 and is Scotland’s first and only authentic Russian Restaurant. This venue aims to keep its Russian roots intact, bringing cuisine, hospitality and culture to the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City. The kitchen’s allegiance to former Soviet territories - from Russia and Moldavia to Armenia and Georgia - is evident on the menu featuring borscht, country soup made with cabbage, tomato, beetroot, garlic and coriander; Rostovsky platter, a duet of beetroot-raisin and carrot-garlic salads; aubergine ratatouille accompanied by just-baked pancakes.

We discovered this restaurant by chance at approximately 10:50 p.m. We were looking for a good place with good music and food and which is open till midnight. Though the restaurant was due to close at 11:00 o'clock and in Glasgow it is hard to find such kind of place at this time, the friendly staff greeted us and was and helpful. They served us and waited till we finish our meal, though it was almost 12 p.m. The place is lovely with good music and peacuful place to have a rest and taste delicious Russian cuisine. The staff even tried to speak in Russian, whcih was very impressive :) We ordered potato blinchiki and Napoleon cake and enjoyed them. Highly recommend this place.

Looked really interesting and food lived up to reviews, cheap and very tasty. The Borscht was really fantastic huge selection of vodka shots which went well with russian food (£25 two mains and bottle of wine offer). The kinetic theatre was wonderful

Nice place for when your out and about in the otherwise rip off merchant city, the food is well presented even the pudding. The drinks are cheap as chips and a good selection, the service can be improved by hiring another [ off the two guys there it seemed that the only one of them was waiting on so service could be slow
