The only real 'pub' in Aviemore, with an amazing selection of whisks and local brew, we stopped here for an afternoon drink a few times during our week holiday and then we stopped on our last day for lunch... OMG... pulled pork sandwiches are to die for! Our only regret was not stopping for dinner. Lovely atmosphere, great staff, we will be back next year!!

Called today and it looked great from the outside ! My colleague and I thought great so we went in.
Menu six sandwiches and one main dish
We ordered 2 pulled pork baps at £6.00 each . Ordered some chips ... But alas "we don't do chips " ok but hand cut fried in could quality fat can be great !
So we asked for side dishes , we could have .. A slice of bread mixed leaves or boiled tatties, really ?
When leaving the notice on the exit read
' our policy
If you have kids keep them under control and clean up after them
If you have a dog please clean up etc .
We DONT serve chips !
And the best if you don't like our policy then your in the wrong place !
Are you kidding .. It made a mockery of Scottish hospitality

We found this place whilst visiting friends who live beside Aviemore. Good menu that changes daily, good atmosphere and nice staff. Reasonably priced. It was so good we returned and had both lunch and dinner over a number of days during a two week holiday. Well worth a visit and better than anywhere else we went to In Aviemore village.

Great meal with family.

Food is really good with a nice range of options and plenty good Scottish dishes and ingrediants.

Good local beers and Whisky selection, really nice relaxed pub vibe.

Mix of goretex clad adventurers and famlies or business folk.

I used to go to this place many years ago but got fed up with the surly service and very average food. So this year we thought, after a long gap, we would try it again. What a difference! I have no idea how long the current team have been managing the place but it is transformed. All the staff were ultra efficient and extremely friendly. The menu is short in number of dishes but far from short in quality. The dishes we had would have graced any high class establishment and this is a pub/restaurant. Perhaps, not surprisingly, it is not cheap but it is not outrageously expensive. Our lunch was so good we went back two days later for dinner! Perhaps the most telling proof of the success is that in the evening it was packed.
