“Aviemore Rental”
Reviewed 17 December 2017 for a stay in November 2017

This flat was easy to locate as it's near to the rail station and centre. The access to the block has a run down appearance. Lighting on the stairs is poor.
The flat is basic and had a damp, musty smell. It's also very dated. I would hope that any updating is ongoing as the bathroom requires attention.

Management Response
18 Dec 2017
I'm so sorry your experience did not match those of previous visitors this year who by their revues seem delighted with the flat. However I appreciate and have noted your comments about décor. Unfortunately the cost of an update would mean an equivalent increase in rental charges, which I feel would not suit my regular visitors. It's a balance.

“Convenient for all Aviemore has to offer”
Reviewed 11 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Great location with minutes of many amenities, cafes and restaurants. A cosy flat with all that is required for a comfortable stay, nice quiet area with lovely walks and Park close by. Would stay again, great value for money. Good communication with owner and plenty of information of places to visit and things to do supplied in flat. Toys for children and DVD's for Children and Adults were available, all in all a great wee find.

“Great value for money in a handy location”
Reviewed 3 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

We've been to the highlands before, and spent a lot more on somewhere not as nice! This cosy flat (which heats up remarkably quickly) has a well-equipped kitchen (including washing-machine), a decent size lounge, and two good bedrooms (soft springy beds in the twin room, firmer in the double). Decor is a little bit dated, but very clean and functional. It was extremely handy being only 10 minutes' walk away from the village centre and the shops, and about the same distance from a swimming pool. 10 minutes another way takes you to the spectacular hillside nature reserve. The stairs weren't a problem for us (but might be for some people). Wi-fi was available on a very flaky pay-as-you-go BT hotspot (again, not a big problem but something to know).

We'd certainly be keen to stay there again if we're back in the area!

Brilliantly central base for all activities in the surrounding area. High street, restaurants, shops and local superstore within 5 minutes walk. Lovely nature walks just behind- easily accessible and great for kids to explore. We enjoyed our stay so much that our children (aged 7 and 2) made it very clear they did not want to leave to go home!! Owner was very accommodating in regards to arrival and leaving times as well. A thoroughly enjoyable stay!
