“Excellent holiday stay”

We stayed here for the Easter holidays. 4 adults and 4 children . The house is well situated in a desirable location, with a shop, hire bike shop and takeaway just around the corner.
The house is lovely decorated and the play station and video in the house was a big hit with the children, even had a TV in their room.
The bottle of wine on the table was a added bonus for us.
Thanks for a wonderful stay and hope to be back again soon.

“Great location, great facilities, superb set up”

I stayed in the house with 7 other friends over the New Year period and we had an absolutely fantastic time.

The weather was predictably unpredictable with rain, sleet, snow and even some blue skies and sunshine. No matter what, we returned to the house to shower, cook and get ready for going out and sampling Aviemore's nightlife. There were enough amentities to keep the group happy and the kitchen was well fitted and suited our large group and large appetities.

The rooms were great with enough storage and enough radiators to dry everything out before the next day's soaking. We did plenty of winter walking, some ski touring and lots of tea and cake.

Aviemore surpassed our expectations in producing a decent Old Year's night with the Cairngorm Hotel providing live music and a piper. The club 'Vault' stayed open until the small hours for those that wanted it. The house was about 15minutes walk into town along well lit paths but we only did it once and used the cars for the majority, doing shopping etc. It is 30mins drive from the ski centre car park.

Overall, a fantastic place and one that I would be keen to use again; summer or winter.

“A perfect location - Homely, luxurious, warm and comfortable.”
Reviewed 5 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Me and my family stayed at the house in total comfort. There were 8 of us and we had a wonderful time. From the various board games to the DVDs, surround sound system and play station, there is plenty to keep the kids busy. The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of pots, pans and utensils. The beds are very comfortable and the house is nice and warm. It is in a great location and the Highlands in the Autumn is spectacular. We would recommend a visit to the Highland Wildlife Park, the polar bears were amazing!

“An excellent practical house in Aviemore”

Just coming back from a great stay in Ard Tigh...we booked it recently and got a dicsounted price for summer break!. We were two families (8 in total) ranging from 5yr-64yrs and each and everyone of us enjoyed the stay. The house is so practical...everything you need is there and has been well taken care of. The owners were very good and were easy to access (via. Telephone) if required. INstructions were clear and easy to get the keys from the front door...it's kind of plug and play...we went inside and never felt it new or strange. There is no Wi-Fi, otherwise no complaints at all. There are few DVD's and a playstation in bedroom, the area is very quiet and my kids could easily play outside with other fellow holidayers

“Lovely house, great location and so well equipped.”
Reviewed 25 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We had a lovely week in Aviemore staying at Ard Tigh. It was such a welcome relief after a long journey with 2 small children to find tea and coffee and a pint of milk in the fridge. The bottle of wine was also a nice welcome! Little touches that made all the difference. We were very lucky with the weather too as it was warm and very sunny - bonus! Would thoroughly recommend and would definitely go back to this lovely home from home.

This is the second year we have taken grandchildren to this house. Ard Tigh is a modern semi-detached house in a quiet cul-de-sac, an ideal spot for children. There is a small supermarket and an excellent fish-and-chip shop within a few minutes' walk (and a brewery almost as close in the other direction.) The centre of Aviemore is an easy walk or a few minutes' drive away. The property no longer comes with a pass to the Dalfaber Country Club, but the owners reduced our price by the amount of a family pass which we made good use of. The house is very well appointed and the owners very welcoming. Strongly recommended.

“Our Vacation in Aviemore”
Reviewed 19 June 2012 for a stay in July 2011

Ard Tigh was definitely home from home with all ameneties. The location was ideal with many nearby places of interest and activities. The golf club membership was a definite bonus. Alan and Lorna were very gracious and acommodating when I had to modify my dates. I would most definitely recommend this very comfortable and equipped home to anyone and hope to get the chance to visit Ard Tigh and Aviemore again.
