“An amazing place to visit”
Reviewed 22 June 2014

The Centre is a short walk up through a beautiful setting and definitely worth visiting. The Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. On a previoous trip there were 'babies' in the nest - could watch the cameras coverage for hours. Really amazing place and most definitely worth visiting.

“a wonderful experience of nature.”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

Something that you definitely don't see every day.Well set up with cameras at the nest. This is of course nature so you can not be assured of anything but a lovely place.Stop on the shores of Loch Garten.
Also the volunteers are very easy to talk to and give you very good information.
Reccomended.

“Osprey photography”
Reviewed 19 February 2014

I made two visits to Aviemore last year, the second purely for wildlife photography. There are two main places for Osprey photo work, the Rothiemurcus fish farm and "Aviemore Ospreys" based behind the McDonalds resort. The latter produced a wonderful viewing experience and some great pics but it's a mighty early start! You can even see the Peregrine Falcons nesting from the hide. Check out Aviemore Ospreys on his Facebook site. Well worth the effort.

“Great, and Wildlife History”
Reviewed 27 December 2013

A real iconic spot in terms of wildlife conservation and a must visit when you're in the Cairngorms. Keep an eye out for other great iconic wildlife too (as well as Ospreys). Red Squirrels, Crested Tits, Scottish Crossbills and more common woodland birds are very close to you here. There are RSPB organised Capercaillie lek watches too, and Pine Marten have bred under the visitor centre in recent years... you'll be lucky to see them in daylight, but you never know!

There are better places for clearer views of ospreys in the area now, (great news, they're doing so well), but this spot is the one with CCTV in to the nest, so close up, live views are well worth the effort, and hey... this place really does carry conservation history in its foundations. Enjoy.
