Just returned from a family wedding, we travelled over 600 miles to get to and it was well worth it, staff so friendly and helpful, rooms clean and warm, food excellant, entertainment 5*, just wish it was closer to us to visit again. Will definitely be recommending to our friends. Staying in Aviemore or even have a meal if not staying you must visit this hotel.

Room Tip: 202 was a good room but room 124 is the best with the turret

We arrived at Aviemore by Train in the dark and was glad the Cairngorm Hotel was across the Road from the Station looking like the perfect sanctuary for weary travellers.

We were welcomed at Reception like celebrities (at least they knew our names because we were the last guests to check in) and given the keys to our room. The room was a little small and simply furnished but tastfully decorated and it was shame that the bed (or beds, two pushed together) was a little lumpy.

The Restaurant was emptying out but fortunately they still managed to provide us with a nice Dinner in the Tower Annexe before we retired for the night.

The next morning we looked out the window and wow............ Nothing! as the fog had set in and you could hardly see the station across the road.

Fortunately, we were treated to a lovely Breakfast and as promoted by the reception, we met up with Spud the Bag Piper at the Golden Post Box down the Road.

The Hotel was brilliant the staff were great and the views were... well, missing.

What a great hotel......having just moved to the area recently we were looking for a place to good food, have a night out and watch entertainment.......this hotel covers it all.
Having managed hotels myself for the last 20 or so years myself and my wife cant help but `staff watch` and by god have we seen some horrendous staff over the years.
Since our first visit here we have had some great meals, particulary the duck and the chicken wrapped in bacon YUM!!!!!.
The staff have always been very attentive and on the ball and you can see by a mile staff training is excellent.
Providing entertainment just about every night ticks all our boxes because being in the same line of work most places only provide entertainment at the weekends.
Hotel, Management and Staff you have just gained yourself another 2 supporters of everything you do....Thanks

I love everything about this hotel, from the lovely rooms, food and great atmosphere to the fact I can bring my dog along! There is always something going on in the bar and the staff are really friendly. There is also free wifi in the hotel too.

Stayed for just one night. Hotel is in a great location, on the main street, straight across from the railway station. It is very busy, and deservedly so, as it caters well for the majority of what visitors to Aviemore are looking for - warm welcome, good value food and drink, and plenty of atmosphere. Ate at the restaurant, which offers a wide choice and large portions. The bar can be very busy, even early in the evening. Only down side was the bed - the mattress in room 206 has certainly seen better days, and spoiled a good night's sleep. Breakfast was excellent.

Room Tip: Front facing rooms may experience noise late at night, on the main street and above the bar.

Did not stay here but used the restaurant, only had to wait 20 minutes for a table, time to enjoy a drink in the bar.Found the menu had something for everyone,a seniors menu, kids menu and plenty for the adults.Quality and presentation of food was excellent, nice friendly staff and changes to the set meal was happily accommodated.Prices in the bar and restaurant were very reasonable, would recommend this establishment highly.

Did not stay but nipped in when it was pouring rain. Really warm and cosy, six of us had a family meal there. Food was excellent, service great, portions were huge. Hospitable staff and did not have to wait to long to be seated. All homemade and delicious 10/10.
