We stayed in The Cairngorm Hotel in Aviemore for 2 nights recently. Great welcome at reception & all the staff were friendly & very accommodating. Food was fantastic and the Manager went out his way to find us a table for dinner. Well worth a visit.

Room Tip: If you don't mind the stairs we had a lovely room on the 2nd floor.

Went for a meal with family (wife and 2 kids under 7) on Friday night. Service from our waitress impeccable, nothing too much trouble. She showed flexibility in making slight changes to our order (wife has wheat allergy). Food when it came was first class. My steak pie was rich with a lovely ale gravy. My wife's mince and tatties again really rich and wholesome. The kids portions were huge! Again no complaints. Overall the bill was very reasonable - small things like their craft lager being under £3 a pint. Tremendous value! Next time in Aviemore will definitely return. A hotel that delivers on its positive reviews. Go.

Stayed for 3 nights all of the staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room was on the top floor and was quiet if a little bit on the small size especially the bathroom........the room was spotlessly clean.

We eat in the restaurant all 3 evenings and both of us had a different starter and main each time........the food was very good quality (always plenty) and good value for money. It does get busy especially between 6:30 - 8:00........ However they will fit you in if you wait and you can always have a drink in the bar, again good service.

This hotel has plenty of charm and character ......... And even a Piper playing outside every night - I will stay here again.

Went here with a large family group for a meal. Food was great, choice typical Scottish menu which we wanted, service good. Went back for breakfast and again for dinner. Mince and tatties was amazing.
Would Highly recommend to anyone that visits the area

We have been passing through Aviemore for over 30 years so have stopped here for lunch before (generous sandwiches which judging by the crowded bar is still the case) but this is our first time staying in it. The staff were all exceptionaly friendly and we would come back here again. We were out very late on the Saturday night and the night porter was waiting for us (knew our room number) ... felt like Dad had waited up for us before locking down ... nice! The breakfast was lovely too, nice spread of fruit and you can pick and mix the hot food you fancy. Again very friendly service there too. Can't think of a single negative thing to say.

Room Tip: I asked for a quiet room as there is live music in the very popular bar ... didn't hear a thing...

We always come here for a meal when we are visiting Aviemore and are always pleased. It can just be a wee bit busy near 6pm so if you have children it would be better to go there slightly earlier to avoid waiting.

Friendly staff, beautiful exterior, average restaurant, worn down room, AND VERY LOUD until 3:00 AM on a Saturday night. The room was not air conditioned so we had to keep the windows open, hence no hiding from the noise. Could hear every intoxicated/bombed conversation. Not ideal for a young family.
