The Priory hasn't really moved forward in the last 25 years and is stuck in a time warp. Food is good but the menu is devoid of imagination. We had the high tea menu and there was nothing at all local by description there although the food was perfectly good and properly cooked. Presentation was somewhat lacking and the crockery and serving dishes went out of fashion in most places many years ago. I had hoped that The Priory would have become more modern and imaginative, but I'm afraid that for now that is not the case. Service was pleasant although a bit muddled in places. I would return but would like to think that the place doesn't stay stuck in a time warp for ever.
