Another place visited many a time and am there at this moment in one of the holiday properties(Culligran Cottages).

Much as I love this place was really loath to post here as more people means less peace and quiet here lol

The Glen is closed to cars on Tuesdays and Wednesday Mornings unless you are staying in it, walkers can come and go as the please all year long

Thank Barbara R

Fantastic hill walk in Glen Strathfarrar. Wonderful views and so peaceful! Just the sound of the bnirds singing and the stags rutting.

We often come here for family walks and bike rides as the scenery is breathtaking and the road is usually lovely and quiet. However, there is the odd moron driving far too fast along the single track road which can spoil it for the rest of us. I love the fact that the gate is locked meaning motorists need to get a pass. I just wish they'd have a bit more consideration for others.

Fewer people than Glen Affric but at least as lovely. The scenery varies between river and lake and the mountain backdrop is quite stunning. The road is private but a pass can be obtained at the entrance to the glen.

fantastic exploration trip, the whole Glen is given over to hydro electric power, there are numerous places to pull over and explore, driving over the dams right up to the man made water spout was a little hairy but the scenery at the end of the glen was fantastic
