I am literally just home from our overnight stay in The Old Tea Shop. We had a very warm welcome from the owner and shown around the cottage. The pictures do not do it any justice. It's very spacious but still manages to feel warm and cosy. The log stove was a godsend after a cold walk along Dunnet Bay (just a short drive from the cottage). Comfortable and clean with a few lovely touches from the owners (the dogs loved their treats, thank you) We followed the sat nav which took us off the main road on to a single track road which got us there perfectly. On our way home, we decided to go through Thurso. I must say, when we return in the near future, I will be going through Thurso. Straight forward main road which took the same time as the bumpy off road route advised.
Location good drive from larger towns, but easily accessible to places of interest
Hosts greeted us on arrival then respected our privacy, a wonderful place for a relaxing break in our short trip to the Highlands, wish we could have stayed longer
We have just come back from an amazing week at this beautiful cosy cottage as regular user of cottage holidays this was the best every. The cottage was fully equipped with everything you could ask for and the little extras like milk tea coffee and even shower gel added to it . Shirley and Colin could not have been any more accommodating and the luxury of coming home to this cosy cottage after being out all day was superb. Will never stay anywhere else in the Area x.
