We had a fantastic, relaxing stay within Meycliff cottage. The views were out of this world and the cottage itself was beautiful, spacious and just want we needed for our family trip away.

The surrounding areas are great to visit also, Castle, Cliffs, Thurso itself however try would need to be done via car.

We would highly recommend the cottage and when we are back up at the top of Scotland again we will surely be booking back into the cottage.

Highly recommended and the surrounding scenery is just spectacular and the cottage using large windows to bring the view in.

“Location, Location, Location - absolutely beautiful and Cottage great”
Reviewed 18 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

A perfect quiet location and an ideal well equipped cottage with some much to do and see en route to/from this part of Scotland and around the area. We did so much sightseeing, played golf and did a wonderful guided tour of the Orkney from John O'Groats which is just 15 minutes from the cottage.

There is plenty to do with children. This is a perfect get away and a week was not long enough.

Where else can you stand in the front garden and see six different lighthouses? The proximity to the sea and the views are stunning. The cottage itself is extremely well fitted and maintained, warm, cosy, with all the mod-cons. More than ample space for our family of five. We also had the bonus of glorious sunshine in late Oct. Highly recommended.

“Idyllic with breathtaking views”

We travelled from Cumbria/Lake district so was a very long drive and arrived when it was overcast and raining. However the cottage was fantastic, very warm with everything you would need. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and the kitchen/diner is huge.
After such a long drive we all relaxed and had an early night. When we woke the next morning the weather had lifted and it was a beautiful clear morning and we all stood in the garden and said 'wow'. The view over to the Orkneys was breathtaking and there was a seal bobbing around on the shore edge which delighted the kids :-) To sum it up we had a brilliant weeks holiday and it was over way too quickly. If you want peace and quiet with spectacular views then Mey Cliff is the place to stay !!!!

“Perfect place to stay!”
Reviewed 2 December 2014 for a stay in November 2014

Although I struggled to find the cottage at first it is a fantastic little place near Thurso! It offers fabulous views with amazing sunsets and sunrises! Interior was lovely and modern, which gave a real homey feel. Even though it was cold when I traveled here in November it was still worth it! The cottage stayed warm, and the beds were warmer! :)

Will have to try here again in the summer time!

“Excellent cottage”
Reviewed 29 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

The cottage is well presented and clean, all the facilities you need are built in, the views take in Dunnett Head, Hoy, Mey Castle. The wildlife is constantly changing with resident seals, Fulmars, oyster catchers present all the time. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday and would highly recommend this cottage.
