Amy and Ewan are wonderful hosts! We stayed three nights in June and had a wonderful time. The room was clean with a large bathroom and a great view of River Ness. Breakfast was really nice. The location was perfect, a few minutes walk to the downtown area. I would definitely stay here again if I ever get back to Inverness! Thank you, Amy and Ewan for your hospitality!

After our stay at Craigside Lodge Guesthouse in Inverness, we strongly recommend it! Amy and Ewan are warm, welcoming hosts, and their well-located home is a delight. Beautiful sitting room/lounge, great breakfast, and comfortable, well-furnished guest rooms. Terrific access to Inverness Castle and nearby restaurants and pubs. Amy is young, yet it's clear she knows this business; this lovely B&B is an excellent choice for anyone traveling to Inverness!

Room Tip: All the rooms are good--can't go wrong--quiet street.

We only had one night here, but we wished we had had more time to explore Inverness and to enjoy the hospitality of this splendid little B&B. Our room was little small with the dormer window but the view out toward the castle was well worth it. The bed was quite comfortable, the room was clean and tidy; there was good water pressure in the shower. The public areas are attractive and inviting. We sat in the conservatory after returning from dinner, and Amy brought us a cup of tea to enjoy while we watched the sky darken. The breakfast room was bright and cheerful, and the breakfast was good.

What makes Craigside Lodge Guest House such a great place to stay in Inverness is the location and the warm welcome of the owners, Amy and Ewan. (Ewan is a former Olympian!) We felt very comfortable in our cozy room with a wonderful view of the Inverness Castle. They took care of all of our needs and had great suggestions for exploring Inverness. We loved that our delicious Scottish breakfast could be ordered the night before and was ready at the scheduled time we wanted it to be! Great restaurants and pubs were just around the corner. You really do feel like this is your home, too. We loved it!

I stayed near the Inverness town centre for 4 days at the end of June, 2014. Most of my stay was at the Craigside B & B. I stayed in Room # 1, which has a beautiful view of Inverness Castle, overlooking the buildings of downtown & hills leading out of town. Also, this is on the top floor, so I heard no walking or noise from anywhere around me (which is not always the case in B & B's). Also, the location is fantastic, with the town centre only a 3 minute walk to all shops, pubs, the bus & rail stations and I recommend.....a relaxing walk along Ness River.
Further, Amy was the host and she did a wonderful job of having the room ready and having the breakfast (ordered the night before) ready & on time. Sure enjoyed the poached eggs and especially the porridge! Did not know how she did it all, with her husband, Ewan, out of town for a few days and her keeping up with guests & her 2 year old son, Alex. She was a superb host!
For golfers, there is a small public golf course not far away (though, Inverness Golf Club is private) and Nairn is about a 30-40 minute bus ride and Castle Stuart is about a 15 minute bus ride.
Lastly, I would stay at Craigside Lodge again. It is comfortable, relaxing, & I certainly felt very welcome by Amy.

Room Tip: Room # 1 has a fantastic view and is on the top floor.

This Guesthouse was EXCELLENT! Amy and Ewan (the owners) will go out of their way to make sure you are completely satisfied. The rooms are clean, roomy and well decorated and the breakfast is lovely. I would certainly recommend staying here as well as it offers a great view of the city and is about a 4 minute walk to downtown Inverness.
