Owner description: Water doesn't get much more mysterious than this 23 mile stretch running through the Great Glen in the Highlands of Scotland. There's no better way to experience Loch Ness than by boat. Jacobite's award winning tours and cruises get you onto the water and into the heart of this iconic landscape. This is a whole lot more than simply sight-seeing. We've been running trips on and around Loch Ness for over 30 years and most of us live here.

“5 Star Cruise on Loch Ness with Jacobite Cruises”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2014

As a last minute treat we booked a three hour cruise going to Urquhart Castle leaving from Inverness. We paid £22.00 each for the Cruise and were delighted. The sun was shining down and we boarded our cruise, the indoor seating area was very comfortable, we sat at a table and ordered some drinks from the bar which was very reasonable, we also had some sandwiches and crisps later on and all very very reasonably priced.

The staff were very helpful and answered any questions that we had. the boat was spotless.

Would highly recommend this cruise to anyone and as an added bonus at the end of the cruise the open top tour bus collected us and took us back to the bus station free of charge.

Overall excellent experience.

“Loch Ness tour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

The loch and surrounding highlands are absolutely beautiful. The commentary was interesting, but it was recorded - I find it so much better when these things are live. Also, there was a large, rather loud group on the tour, so it was hard to hear the recorded commentary. It was a lovely tour though.

Dear Reviewer, thank you for the feedback. The scenery in the area is stunning and we very much appreciate working in such beautiful surroundings on a daily basis. We are always looking into improving the service we provide and live commentary is certainly being considered.

“Jacobite Cruises leaves from Clansman Harbour, thats half an hour from Inverness by bus”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

was a very fine day, one of the really sunny ones. When it is possible to decide the same day you should do so, because to do a cruise on the Loch and the included Visit of Urquhart Castle is really beautiful when the sun is shining. I enjoyed it very much.

Dear Reviewer, we are delighted to hear you enjoyed the trip. We do operate all year round and in all weathers but coincidentally we are usually busier when the sun is shining! Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback.

Staff were very helpful. I am unable to walk far especially uphill and after our boat trip on the loch staff gave me a lift back to the car park

“Cruise and bus option for Loch Ness”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

You have several choices for seeing Loch Ness and Urkhart castle using this tour company. I rode the bus out and had a stop at the Nessie center and another at a ancient stone ceremonial hut. The trip was worth the money and I had a good visit. The loch inspired me to return and undertake a coast to coast canoe expedition with Boots and Paddles from Inverness to Fort William.

Dear Reviewer, we are glad to hear you enjoyed the Passion tour. Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. The Loch certainly is an inspirational place and at Jacobite we appreciate working in such beautiful surroundings on a daily basis. That is fantastic news that you are going to embark on the Great Glen Canoe Trail with Boots & Paddles. We are aware of one group that have taken the challenge to another level and decided to go down the Caledonian Canal then circumnavigate the northern tip of Scotland and back to Inverness.....in a pedalo, designed to look like the Loch Ness monster.
