The hotel is located near the railway station and the city center. When you enter the hotel, you will step right in to the bar where you check in, maybe a little odd. The bar area is nice. The room we got was badly cleaned, envelop laying in the armchair, hairband on the side table, fluff of dust on the floor. Bathmat was not provided, we used a handtowel instead, the second day it was taken away and not replaced. Shampoo was finished the second day and we didn't get any new. The room was quite warm. Opening the window meant a lot of noise from the street. Bed was small, about 140-160 cm. We didn't have breakfast since it was very expensive, good options nearby.

I only had a few drinks at the bar with a friend so cannot comment on rooms or food.

The staff were very friendly and chatty; they've definitely done something unique in Inverness. We made good use of the pool table. A very welcome addition to a night out on the town.

The lobby is very "hip" with a bar, pool bar, and lounge which is a very interesting concept. The rooms were very basic with minimal accommodation: very few towels, no safe, spartan furniture, tiny bathroom, and 1990's hallway atmosphere. The hotel seems like it ig going through an upgrade and we caught the middle. They offer no parking and you need to lug your bags blocks to the public lot. They do not validate you ticket either. This would be really had with a family.

We were a group of five on a small hen do. The Penta Hotel made up a package for us of cocktails and buffet. We had two very nice barmen showing us how to make the cocktails we had chosen. We all had chosen different ones so that was fun. When we had finished that, we turned back to our table to see it all set up with all sorts of lovely food. We had a great choice and could not finish it all, though we tried hard. That was followed by dessert. The staff were all very nice to us. The Penta Hotel was lovely and just what we wanted for our little Hen do. At a price we were all happy to pay.

Having booked this under the former Ramada title we were pleasantly surprised to find this completely refurbished Penta Hotel in its place. Very modern ( maybe too modern for some) with all facilities, we had a very comfortable stay over three nights in central Inverness. The price we paid for the Ramada would have to be multiplied by at least three times to stay at the Penta, so had an absolute bargain.

We booked this hotel when it was still a Ramada then it changed to a Pentahotel. Reception is at the bar which was quick and easy. When we arrived in the room for a 5 night stay we thought room OK a bit on the sparse side then realised that there actually wasn't anywhere to put your clothes. There was a hanger with about 4 coat hangers on it but for other items such as underwear etc there really wasn't anywhere so just ended up with everything left in the case. Then there was the consistant humming that seemed to come from a sort of air con unit located just outside somewhere. When we visited it was during a time of a rare heat wave but it was impossible to sleep with the hum going on not to mention the seagulls. The bathroom was clean but towel allocation was a bit odd. Day one we had a floor towel 2 hand 2 bath. Day 2 no floor 1 hand 2 bath. Day 3 no floor no hand 4 bath. Now we didn't put any of the towels on the floor for changing except the floor towel but really couldn't understand why we only ever got a floor towel the first day we arrived. All in all a very basic travellers hotel. Not a particularly welcoming room. Bar prices would also make you cry 2 bottles of grolsch £14!

Room Tip: Ask for a room that over looks the beer garden at least you won't get the hum and the only noise...

Thank you for reviewing our hotel and I'm sorry to hear your stay was not an enjoyable one.

We are very proud of the new penta concept, however we also appreciate it will not suit everyone. I have addressed the irregular towels available in your room as this is not the standard.

I will be sure to pass your comments to our team and I do hope that if you would like to discuss this with me personally you would contact our hotel directly.

I do hope you will accept our apologies for the issues you encountered and I hope you will consider our hotel again in the future.

I stayed in the pentahotel recently with my family . It was a Saturday night so I was expecting it to be a bit lively ! Upon arrival the first thing that strikes you is the very unusual hotel reception area which I can only describe as resembling a bar in a nightclub ! The staff were friendly enough and we asked for a quiet room if possible . We were allocated a room overlooking academy street . The room was clean and tidy . Bathroom was ok apart from the lack of hand soap ( basic hygiene is not too much to ask for ? ) .
The room was very warm and we couldn't really leave the window open due to the traffic noise etc.
There is also a gentlemans club a few doors away on academy street so there are people around on the street until all hours .
The walls in the room must be quite thin as we could clearly hear the tv from the room next door.
We did not have breakfast in the hotel . There is also no parking at the hotel although there is a multi storey only five minutes walk away which is very reasonably priced .
Overall this hotel would probably suit groups of people on a night out rather than families although the central location is a winner for everyone .

Room Tip: Pick a room high up and one that does not overlook the courtyard of the gentlemans club .
