We were charmed by the country house exterior and warm welcome and completely at home in the spacious and bright room overlooking the lovely gardens. The well designed lounge was ideal for relaxing over pre dinner drinks with friends and dinner lived up to the varied menu with discrete but helpful service. A great find all round.

We attended a wedding here recently and although we live locally we decided to treat ourselves and stay the weekend. The Friday we arrived was beautiful weather and we enjoyed a delightful lunch on the terrace in the sunshine. Our room was spacious and very comfortable and the bed linen was impeccable- bathroom had lovely soft towels and bathrobes. Our evening meal was outstanding and we were pleasantly surprised when the same high quality of food and service was repeated at the wedding. Unfortunately the weather was not so kind in the Saturday but everyone thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. A big thank you th Aaron and all his friendly hard working staff. We will definitely be retuning - and soon

Stayed here with my partner for a last minute trip away. Lovely hotel and grounds, great location. Inside the hotel is not quite as lovely, check in slow, staff no where to be seen, food fussy, mediocre and very over priced and rooms were very cold. Will not return.

We arrived early but got access to our suite which was clean but drab . The bathroom fittings were gold but very worn the decor in room needed refreshed.Evening meal was very poor the lamb was cold when we complained the plate was taken into kitchen and returned pinged and not re set on plate. The breakfast was awful the sausages seemed boiled no colour it was dumped on the plate no presentation.Oh and they ran out of wine after my first glass of house!
The cost of the hotel was £245 per night not good value certainly no return for us..

Quite a rude staff. Nobody answers the telephone when you try to ask then for something. The attendants at the breakfast are very unfriendly and they seem to not care about the guests well being. They charged us a knife, 40 pounds, they simply thought we had damaged. Thank God the city is terrific to visit, but even then it's not worth it.

We spent two nights here because Culloden House did not have availability for our entire stay. Loch Ness Country House is equally lovely and the service is, if anything, even better. We arrived early but our room was ready and we could check in immediately. At check in we were asked about our departure plans. We had an early train so they reserved a taxi for us, said to just place our bags outside the room to be taken down, and arranged to pack a breakfast for us. That plan got modified the night before we left: instead, they brought a tray with yogurt & cereal, a fruit plate, juice, and pastries to our room the night before and stored it in the refrigerator. It was a bit late when the tray arrived--because the pastries had to be proofed and baked!

Our room was in the older part of the hotel and was beautiful and spacious with a nice view of the grounds. The bathroom is marble with a rain shower shower head. As mentioned, there is a refrigerator in the room. The only unfortunate thing is the bed, which is short and a bit lumpy.

This is a lovely pled building with a fresh and modern interior. The staff goes out of their way to anticipate guests' needs.

We were guests at a friends wedding and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room and food were excellent. The wedding celebration from the ceremony on the veranda over looking the beautiful gardens to the dinner faultless.
Many thanks to all the team and Marie for helping make a special memory
