I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was. Our 7yo was certainly charmed by staying in a pink castle! We had a generously sized room with queen bed and cot for our daughter. The window bench was a great place to sit and take in the views of the moray. While others complain the rooms are "dated," we are not so picky and really found the room to be quite charming. The most surprising thing (especially after reading the nay-sayers) was the very modern bathroom and, important in this digital edge, more outlets than in most big-brand hotels!!
The restaurant's breakfast and dinner was delicious and very accommodating to alternative diets. The staff were all extremely polite, welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed passing the time in the drawing room next to the fire and really appreciated that we could order dinner while sitting there in comfort and then be led into the dining room just before the first course was ready...nice touch!
The only small complaint--which is more like a heads-up--is that it is an old building. So we could hear running water in other rooms and such. But, honestly, that happens everywhere...and it's the only negative thing I have to say!
