Booked the hotel and all its rooms for the weekend of our wedding on the 13th March.

As had been said before, Anne and all the rest of the team managed to be professional and efficient whilst giving a truly personal service in the planning and running of the day. The wedding meal was a tour de force prepared by the second chef and the lamb in particular was reckoned by many to be up with the best they had ever eaten.

Simply stated, our expectations were exceeded in all respects. Many thanks to all staff for making the day very special.

We came to Bunchrew House Hotel for a celebratory weekend away. We arrived on the Friday evening and were taken to our very well appointed rooms. We then had a lovely high tea in the drawing room (on comfy sofas next to an impressive fireplace where a fabulous fire glowed). Both of our rooms overlooked the expanse of the beautiful Beauly Firth. Each room was bright and spacious, one included the most phenomenal 4 poster bed, the other very comfortable twin beds. Wonderful attention to detail in the room - fudge, complimentary mineral water and tea and the luxurious toiletries in the bathroom. The hotel had glorious log fires burning in most of the tastefully decorated rooms - very cosy. The food (every meal) was cooked to perfection. I understand that all the ingredients were locally sourced such as Scottish beef and the outstanding seafood (especially the lobster). The dining room commanded the most stunning view of Beauly Firth. The local attractions (particularly Loch Ness and Urquart Castle) were so worth a visit and the whole stay amounted to the most magical experience. Happy kids, great food, great wine, great company.

Again another great stay at Bunchrew House. We stayed Sunday - Weds on a winter break in the Craigton suite which was lovely - shame we'd missed the snow for the novelty value! Bunchrew is a lovely old fashioned country home complete with real fires, comfortable sofas, intimate dining rooms (when there are just a few guests) a warm welcome and Chef Walter's cooking. The evening meals are Bunchrew are something to look forward.

Thank you once again to the entire Bunchrew team for making it an enjoyable experience.

We have just come back from spending the weekend at Bunchrew House Hotel and were very impressed by the friendly welcome and level of service. While the Scottish weather outside was at its most dreich, the roaring fires and food and wines available made for the perfect luxurious winter "howf".

Inverness is only a five minute drive from Bunchrew House Hotel but it might as well be a world away (no bad thing given some of the Inverness "architecture"). The views out over the Moray Firth to the Kessock Bridge are beautiful and the surrounding area is very peaceful. Dinner was first rate and good value for money.

Just the tonic!

We were due to be married at bunchrew in november, but tragically my father passed away suddenly the day before the wedding.

We decided that we couldn't possibly go ahead with the wedding. We approached Bunchrew with the idea that we could maybe reorganise the weddding for Jan or Feb.
We were quite prepared to pay a reasonable amount for any food wasted, may I add we were having a small wedding with only 49 guests ( 6 of them children), we were having soup as a starter and a cheescake for desert how much would the ingredients for that have cost, no where near what they tried to charge!!

After speaking to management about our ideas to reschedule. We were shocked when they came back to us and said that they were going to charge us the full amount! They wanted us to pay for all the food, drink and rooms!!

The manageress had no compassion whatsoever, all she kept going on about was how she was going to have to pay her staff wages and she was going to have a loss of revenue!! What about our loss? we had just lost a close family member and our dream wedding day had been taken away! She even went onto to say, that this was something they had never had to deal with before, she then corrected herself and said that a couple had to cancel before as the groom had cancer, but they did give her a few months notice, not 24 hours!! I still can't believe she said that. I could go on all day about all the insensitive things she said, but i'd be here all day!

I just think that given the circumstances they could have done a lot more to help us. All the other local businesses involved, went out of their way to help.

My review isn't all negative, the two wedding co-ordinators Anne and Deborah are fanatstic at they're job nothing to much trouble for them.

With reference to this review, we did express our sorrow on numerous occasions when discussing this unfortunate event.

We advise all wedding couples to take out necessary event insurance before they engage in a booking; it is unfortunate that this did not happen in this case. Under the circumstances we reduced the cancellation charge agreed to in the contract by 50% and then also offered to re-stage the wedding at Bunchrew House and thus avoid the cancellation charge altogether. However the couple chose to go elsewhere and pay the 50% of the cancellation charge. We refunded a significant portion of the monies prepaid.

We arrived on a Friday evening and were welcomed by friendly staff who quickly settled us into our very comfortable room, Ardfearn, on the top floor of the hotel. The room, overlooking a park full of mature trees, was bright, spacious, and included a sofa-bed for our two kids to sleep in. The bed for the adults was very comfortable and spacious. We loved the thoughtful details in the room, such as a sampler of fudge, complimentary mineral water and tea. The large bathroom included a bathtub with a shower fixture, which was a great place to unwind before we headed down to the bar for a drink in front of the fireplace. Roaring fires were also going in the drawing room and dining room, all tastefully decorated. The meals we had at the hotel featured local ingredients cooked to perfection, such as Scottish beef and outstanding seafood. From the dining room, one has a fantastic direct view out onto the Beauly Firth. We had a great stay here.

Nice hotel, located in its own grounds just outside inverness. Old worldy charm. Nice Staff. Good food - although the restaurant is almost to large and lacks that homey sense. Room was large and clean.
