“Saved our romantic weekend away”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 February 2011

We had booked into a different hotel initially but walked out as soon as we looked at the room and hotel facilities which were nothing like what we had seen on the internet site.

We had travelled from Bournemouth that day for a romantic weekend. We had no where to stay and happened across the Glenmoriston Town House Hotel whilst frantically surfing the net for a solution.

We arrived a bit stressed if I'm honest!

We have nothing but praise for this hotel. We enjoyed a fabulous four days. Lovely room, fantastic food in the fine dining restaurant and the brasserie. Hard working friendly staff who make sure that your are happy with every experience at the hotel. You really can go to this hotel and have a lovely time together.

The Hotel is situated on the river bank, close to the town centre, but without all the noise from traffic and people late at night.

We will go there again and would recommend to anyone.

Stayed here for one night with my partner while on some business in Inverness. Only slight criticism I would make is that rooms which are described as executive with a bathroom really should have a bath, not just a shower room. Apart from that we were delighted with all other aspects of our stay. Staff were lovely, welcoming and polite. The room was gorgeous with a great river view. Although we didn't eat in the restaurant the menu looked great and there were certainly plenty other people taking advantage. Would certainly highly recommend it and will be returning in the future.

Stayed here for one night on a Sunday as part of a trip around Scotland.

Dined in Contrast Brasserie as the Restaurant was closed on a Sunday. Food and service was good and will definitley return to eat.

Our rooms (we had to be moved during the night) were both very spacious but very noisy, as I am sure what was a staff party was being held in an adjacent room.

We complained a few times before being moved to another part of the hotel at 2:30am.

No apology in the morning and left with a bad taste in my mouth.

Had a fantastic over night stay on Friday. I cant fault it, the rooms were modern and had everything you needed including a lovely white bath robe. We had a room in the extension which had lovely views over the water towards Eden Court.
We had dinner in the brassiere which was great value at £18 for a steak. The waiting staff were polite and attentive without being over bearing. I will return here again as clean good quality private hotels are hard to come by.
I am a receptionist in a four star hotel and have very high standards when i visit other hotels, i would highly recommend this one.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for one night and will definitley be returning. The price initially attracted us at £65 B&B we thought it was very reasonable. The room was spotless with lovely added extras of sewing kit, mouthwash, shortbread, etc which many 4 star hotels do not offer now. The bed was comfortable and the decor extremely modern and tasteful. We had a beautiful meal in the Contrast brassier. It is pricey, but you really do get a lovely meal. Well worth it. The Piano Bar is relaxing and we enjoyed some lovely cocktails. It is becoming more difficult to find a reasonably priced yet spotless hotel which offers class, but Glenmoriston House Hotel have really done well.

one nights stay but even that was too much. The tiny little room above the air conditioning was noisey and had its own collection of ready made homes for any spiders that wanted to move in (not that they would want to!) the rooms are opposite the main entrance of the hotel so walking out in the pouring rain for your breakfast is no fun.
When you get back to the room you cant even have a cosy bath as none in the room and the power from the shower was so poor i had to run around to get wet under it!!! £95 for bed and breakfast!!!! it was very bad value, considering i headed the next day to the crown plaza in glasgow and paid £115 for a beautiful big room , stylish bathroom, 3 course dinner and fabulous breakfast for 2, I don't know who they think they are charging these laughable rates!

Lovely big room downstairs booked a twin and double room so we more or less had this dowmstairs back wing to ourselves. The twin room was bigger than the double room but both good sizes. The bathrooms were very big and refurbed well. Was very cold when we were there but the central heating worked well. Breakfast was very nice and included with our room. When we booked the rooms online it stated flatscreen TV;s in rooms but his was not true and had these very small TV's for the room sizes and there were not many TV channels, TV's were very dissapointing but that's about all that was. Free carparking and the hotel is right on the water Loch at the front and is beautiful. 5 minutes walk to city centre. The light outside the town house did shine through the window of a night even though there was a blind and was only a little bit annoying. The complimentary shortbread biscuits in the rooms were amazing and a great touch.
Wifi was 5 pounds for the day but the girl said don't worry about it when we checked out which was very nice of her. She also checked us in and out and was very helpful and friendly.
