The displays are quite good and there are activity "drawers" for children. The subjects are logically and artfully arranged. Unfortunately, the museum is closed on both Sundays and Mondays.

All of my family enjoyed the museum and art gallery. Plenty of interactive things for kids to do, they loved the Gaelic translating wall! The animals are lovely to look at and the art room was fun. Would visit again.

This museum is certainly worthy of an hour of your time while
visiting Inverness. There is no admission and the staff is very friendly and willing to answer any questions about the art exhibits or artifacts. I really enjoyed the historical photos and poetry on display. It's conveniently located in the City Centre.

Inverness museum and art gallery is small but none the less an interesting place to visit. Up near the castle it has a collection of local artefacts and is full of interesting facts about the area and its surroundings. it also has a tea room which serves light snack lunches and cakes and is wheelchair friendly as well.
