We stayed on a 3 night break in the Kings Club and Spa after receiving an upgrade. Room was very spacious with a view from the balcony overlooking the golf course. Breakfast is served in this part of the hotel , and evening meal is served in the Kingsmills hotel, directly opposite. The food is superb. The health suite is located in the hotel. and is a perfect place to relax, with views of the surrounding grounds of the hotel. The staff were very nice, every one we spoke too had a smile on their face, and couldn,t do enough for us.Will definately return in the future.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for couple of nights during a tour of Scotland with members of our local Jag Enthusiasts Club . Our room was in the new part of the hotel overlooking the Inverness golf club. If you're staying there I recommend that you ask for rooms in that part of the hotel because the views are very good and the rooms well appointed.
The bar has a wide a range of whisky’s but unfortunately only one beer, sorry I'm one of the old school and lager just doesn't cut the mustard.
We were there with a party of 12 who wanted to sit together and that was the first problem because some of us wanted to eat a la carte and some off the set menu, however restaurant manager was fairly adamant that those on the set menu would have to sit in a different restaurant from those eating a la carte. The trip organiser having spoken to the hotel manager managed to finally got us to all sit at the same table in the same restaurant but why the hassle it couldn’t have been rocket science. The meal was OK but my wife had “sirloin” steak full of gristle that I would have sent back but my wife being in a party didn’t want to complain so unfortunately I let it pass.
Breakfast the following day was in the new building and certainly to be recommended but that night we elected to Rajah Indian Restaurant in town. If you like Indian food this is a good choice but the portions are massive so don’t go for a starter.
Other of the party ate at the hotel and on this night had to eat in separate restaurants, how to lose good will in one easy lesson.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your feedback and I am glad you enjoyed the comfort of the rooms in the Kingsclub. I am sorry you think our "rules" are silly, it is not intended that way. We have two different restaurants and two different menus, if we allowed the mix and match approach which your party preferred this would simply slow down service on busy nights. One of our restaurant's seats seventy and the other up to eighty dinners at a time.

I was sorry to hear about the sirloin steak this is very very unusual, we buy all our steaks from local butchers which supply great quality and well hung. I can only assume this was a very unusual one off.

Kind Regards

Have just come back from the Kingmills hotel, our second visit and hopefully not the last....Lovely people and a fantastic place to stay, we were upgrade to the Kings Club and Spa beautiful room.
Internet and wifi was chargeable, but using the 3G was free on my phone and a very strong signal.
The room was spotless and the shower was the walk in type with rain effect head..... the bed in this hotel are the largest I have ever see in hotels! Fantastic.
We dined at the hotel on the two nights, the food was top quality in the restaurant at night and the Breakfast was also plentiful. Checking in and out was quick, along with the service.

Room Tip: We stopped in 801, overlooking the golf course.

Just spent 2 great nights in the Kingsclub at the Kingsmills Hotel. From start to finish the staff were tremendous and the rooms in this recent new addition to the hotel were fantastic - modern, spotlessly clean, spacious and peacefully tranquil. There's is some really stylish designs and colours throughout and the bed is huge and just about the most comfortable I've slept in.
Breakfast on both days was fresh and very well presented - the full Scottish breakfast was excellent and freshly prepared to order, far superior to any 'buffet breakfast' you sometimes get in other hotels.
Dinner on our first night was top class in food quality, presentation and service. There was clearly great use of local scottish produce - venison, scallops and fillet of beef - all perfectly cooked and presented. An excellent meal experience.
I've been around most hotels in Inverness and have to say The Kingsmills is my 1st recomendation to others who I know are travelling there.

Room Tip: Book the KingsClub rooms - there tremendous.

My mum and I stay at the Kingsmills Hotel each year but this time I wanted to treat her and booked a Retreat Room at the Kingsclub. It was well worth the extra money and exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and decorated in a very contemporary, classy style. The beds were very comfortable, the balcony looked over the golf course and the bathroom was lovely with large shower and bath. The staff couldn't do enough for us (something we have always found at the Kingsmills) and breakfast was first class and very laid back, perfect for a Sunday. This part of the hotel has a really light, airy feel and a lot of thought has obviously gone into the design and execution of the rooms and the communal areas. We used the leisure faciliites at the Kingsmill and also had a treatment at the Kingsclub spa, which was really relaxing. We'll certainly be back as always next year and I imagine we'll be saving that bit harder so we can have a Retreat Room again!
