Stayed one night , room was clean , hotel dated in need of upgrade, breakfast had very little choice no continental choice , we were served a rotten egg that was green inside, crockery was cracked and not clean, buffet toaster burnt the bread when toasted, service was poor at breakfast .
Highlighted this to the general manager who was very nice and understanding and had a lovely manner, this hotel location is excellent right on the river with spectacular views but sadly the dinning room for breakfast and the quality of the breakfast was very poor.

Room Tip: We had a room to the back of the hotel that over looked the right of the car park, was ok

We have just had a great day at the hotel to celebrate a wedding. As we were travelling a fair distance i asked if it would be possible to access our room early ,so as to get changed .We arrived at 12noon and our room was ready for us,The reception staff were great, with nothing too much trouble for them, from ordering taxis to greeting us on return from the wedding with umbrellas to shelter us from the rain. I did not get the girls names ,but im sure the management will know who was duty on 4/7/2014.
The service at the wedding reception was very good ,as was the service at breakfast the following day.
The cost of our stay i considered expensive, but seeing as it was a special treat ,we enjoyed it.
Iwould ask the management to sort out the persistant water hammer in Riverside, as it woke us many times during the night.
But despite that we enjoyed our stay.

Many thanks for your very kind review.
We are glad you enjoyed you stay at the Glen Mhor Hotel. Congratulation again to the Bride and the Groom.. !
Please bear in mind that we are market competitive.... Rates can go up indeed in Inverness, specially in the summer.

We look froward to welcoming you again soon.

Best regards

Forget this place. The rooms are so small you can only pass between the end of the bed and the wall by shuffling sideways and, because there's also a tv screwed to the wall, leaning forward over the bed: a most bizarre arrangement. The bathroom in the room we had was without natural light and one of the two bulbs was out. The general feel of the place was cut-price yet the rate we were paying was high. Nevertheless we decided to stick with it as we were only there for one night.

Bad decision. The beds are of the type with a wooden upright at each end. There's 6ft at the most between the bed ends so if, like me, you're longer than that you won't be able to straighten out. I can tell you it's torture and you won't sleep. They must have had the beds specially made to fit into the small room as a full size bed would block it completely.

In the morning I complained (for the first time in any hotel, and before this I thought I'd stayed in some bad ones). The desk-sergeant said she'd have to speak to the manager but was "sure they'd be able to sort something out". What they offered was some paltry discount off any return stay. As if I'm a masochist.

I can tell you, whatever they offer you - if they say they'll pay you to stay - run away and go somewhere else, anywhere. It can't possibly be as bad as this place.

Room Tip: go to another hotel, no question, just go.

we drove from edinburgh, glasgow and all the way up here. as we arrived, the reception is at the other side of the booked hotel. and the parking is at the other side as in the back. there is a restaurant within the hotel or part of it. and as we were staying there is this charity ball going for the senior citizen. the wifi passwords keeps changing everyday or we need to get it from the lovely receptionist. but the view was atrocious. there is this amazing looking river but we were put in this dark alley and yeah we had no porter to help us. the parking password is also a bit confusing. we went for a nice indian meal by the river. we are a family of seven. it was quite tiring going from one end to another. oh complimentary

Room Tip: do book the room with a view by the river

Stayed here on a two night trip to Inverness, we have stayed in many of the hotels in inverness and decided to try this one for a change knowing its location on the river.
We booked a double deluxe through travel republic and were a little dissapointed to see that the "deluxe" room overlooked the kitchen roof with a noisy fan on until 2am. The room was too warm and had no air con so had to open the window which was even noisier. The room was also in the back part of the hotel and as you walked the three staircases up, down and up again to get there the decoration, carpet etc. was not as modern so it felt like you were in a lesser quality part of the hotel to the rest.
We booked the Nicos restaurant which is part of the hotel so very handy. Our experience there wasnt really very good we felt very much it was style over substance
Very small table for two with chairs we wouldnt want to sit on for too long right up against the bar.
One of us doesnt eat meat only fish and when we asked the waitress exactly how a fish dish was cooked we found out it had chorizo sausage cooked with the fish, if its in there then it should be mentioned on the menu !
We werent eating late but felt like they wanted us out as quickly as possible, first time ever I have been served my coffee before the dessert actually arrived. My wifes chocolate fondant was burnt and solid she didnt eat it and it was taken off the bill. Rest of the meal was very foregettable.
The cost we felt was too much for a not very good meal with indifferent service.
Breakfast was dissapointing, the room was very hot and the service erratic, vegetarian breakfast ordered that came with a big dollop of baked beans in the middle that were not mentioned on the menu. Awful coffee. Toaster made the toast either burnt or white with very cheap bread.
We were charged an extra £20 on top of our agreed booking fee and when we questioned this it was repaid eventually but in a fairly graceless manner,
Certainly wont be staying there again on our frequent trips to inverness.

I had an excellent experience at the Glen Mohr. We were there for four days for our anniversary enjoyed our stay very much. It was bitterly cold but the staff promptly handled every request we had. The view of the River Ness was picturesque. We had a double room in the riverside,a 3-minute walk from Inverness city center and a 15-minute drive from Loch Ness. It has free Wi-Fi, and there is free parking on site.
The food was enjoyable and we were very satisfied.

Room Tip: Rooms by the river side are far better.
