“An Excellent B&B”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2013

Our stay was short (2 nights) but Treetops did not fail to impress us. The place was clean, tidy, and meticulously house-kept. Both Muriel and Ted were extremely friendly and helpful. Though our room on the ground floor was a little small (not so small by Hong Kong standard) it was compensated by a large bathroom equipped with Jacuzzi showers.

The breakfast was delicious and served with a huge bowl of fruit salad, which we (4 people) could not finish. Muriel, I still could not figure out why the couple, as you mentioned, could ask for a re-refill!

We recently stayed four nights at the treetops bed and breakfast in culloden Moore- what an absolutely fantastic experience.  My wife, sister-in-law and I brought my in-laws to Scotland for their 40 th wedding anniversary and what a start.

From the moment we arrived at the b and b we felt like we were visiting the home of long-lost relatives (the kind you like). Muriel and Ted run an amazing house- incredible hospitality, good breakfast , exceptionally clean and comfortable.  Some nights they both sat with us and drank some scotch and wine and we chatted for hours- just some of the best people you'll meet anywhere (even introduced us to haggis pizza - bloody good!)

The location is just a bit outside Inverness so you'll likely need to hire a car to get around. About an hour in all directions you will find plenty to do - castles, whisky trail, dolphin watching and more. Inverness is a 15 minute drive and is full of plenty of good restaurants for dinner- all kinds of fare. Muriel and Ted even made a few recommendations and they were never wrong (they know everyone so getting reservations never seemed to be a problem).

This b and b is run differently than many other ones we've stayed in but what a pleasant surprise- it wasn't cold and stuffy- very warm and friendly- by the end of it we felt like we'd made new, good friends and were sad to leave.

If you're going anywhere near Inverness on holiday between April and October ring up Ted and Muriel and book a room- it's something you won't want to miss.

This B&B is absolutely stunning. The bedroom was gorgeous and overlooked fields and the viaduct. We had ferrero rocher on our pillows! The bathroom was enormous and spotless. Muriel and Ted were extremely friendly - Muriel even lent me a coat and an umbrella for one of our walks. She couldn't have been more helpful. I particularly enjoyed the fresh local salmon on one morning - and every morning there is also a lovely fruit salad. A visit to the Culloden battlefield centre is also a must, and it is just down the road!

We stayed for 4 nights at Treetops, after travelling for nearly 3 weeks in England and Scotland. Treetops was the perfect place for us to relax. It is an outstanding B&B for many reasons - the delicious breakfasts (the fruit salad is amazing, as are the scrambled eggs with local smoked salmon), the comfortable, immaculate rooms with a wonderful view, the location within walking distance of the Culloden Battlefield and yet only a short drive to Inverness. The most important reason is how welcoming and kind Muriel and Ted are. It was my husband's 70th birthday while we were there and they really made the day special for us. We felt very much at home and it was hard to leave.

Room Tip: The ground floor bathroom has an amazing shower.

Muriel and Ted has provided an outstanding experience with their hospitality, tidy living accommodations, great conversations and AWESOME breakfast!!! The "BEST NITE SLEEPS" we had in a long time. Within 24 hrs of overnight sleep, we decided to come back again with our kids. Just from this 3 day experience, we wish we could have stayed longer. The Tran Clan are planning to come back and visit this GREAT family!!

This was a really warm and welcoming B&B. The owner was very nice and the baked goods she had left for us in our rooms was really delicious. Both rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. Muriel's breakfast was really good and filling and it was a pleasure to stay in her place. We would return again if in the area.

This accommadation has spotless rooms. It has agood location in the countryside but just a short drive from Inverness. It has a very large and comfortable sitting room with a great view but all of this is as nothing to the warm welcome we received.
Muriel and Ted will chat and drink tea or leave you alone, you choose but a stay here will be something that will give you happy memories.
