I have read the previous reviews about bluntness and rudeness. I can only assume that this is directed at the instructor who hails from Yorkshire. I was stationed in Yorkshire whilst in the RAF so know what they mean. However, they mean no offence and it is just their way. I found the helpful and yes abrupt. It was disappointing that because one of the children was a little tiny it meant that they went on the canal instead of the loch. That is the problem with events involving a group. The instructor has to be guided by the least experienced and knowledgeable. It meant the my grandchildren didn't have the experience they had hoped but nonetheless enjoyed it. As a parent or grandparent I would have liked more information. It took an age for them to get kitted up mainly because they only have one changing facility and as my granddaughter was the only girl they had to wait for her to change before they could. then some of the children were so small they struggled to get ready. We were the told that they would be kayaking at the top of Neptune's Staircase so we drove up there to meet them only to find ourselves alone. They were in fact at the bottom of Neptune's Staircase. Anyway, that sorted the kids enjoyed it.
