My fiance and I stayed here for a two night spa break! Although the hotel still has to come up to one or two modern standards (rooms had Yale locks and a radiator; no central heating) it was very comfortable and the food was plentiful!

Our room, which had a huge bay window, faced Inverness Castle and the River Ness, which was a lovely outlook! It was very clean and the staff were lovely...nothing was a bother!

Breakfast was self service, a huge selection and the toast was fabulous - definitely NOT your run of the mill sliced pan bread! Our booking included our meal on the first night. Huge portions of home cooked food!

There is a gym and a lovely pool with jacuzzi, which we made use of after breakfast on our first morning. There is also a sauna and steam room.

The only let down was that our room could have been a bit warmer. There was a radiator, but we had to ask for an extra heater. But this was not a problem, and it arrived a short time after we asked!

Altogether a pleasant stay, nothing fancy, but fine for purpose!

Having read previous reviews before arriving I was a little concerned.
I was given a room in the newer annex, found the room ok and yes it was a little dated but well equipped/roomy/clean, the bed was 2 large singles pushed together but I had no problems and slept well enough, the bathroom does need refurbishing but again it was clean and serviceable.
Hotel location is very good for city centre but limited parking on site, there is however free valet parking available just leave your car in the hotel car park and drop your keys at the leisure centre reception.
Only ate in the bar one night; choice limited but food acceptable. Breakfast choice good although the cooked food could be kept hotter.
Bottom line I’d use this hotel again.

Dear Guest

Thank you for posting your review on Trip Advisor.

I am glad that overall you enjoyed your stay.

I have noted down your points about the bathroom and the breakfast items being a bit hotter, I have made our Head Chef aware of your thoughts.

We do have a great position for exploring Inverness centre and having the valet parking service is invaluable, giving us those extra spaces.

I do hope you are able to come and stay with us again the next time you are in Inverness.

Thank you again for posting your review on Trip Advisor.

Kind regards, Della.

Stayed with a friend this week, weather was fantastic considering the rest of the UK seemed to have the worst weather possible. I have lived all over the world so do not usually write reviews on hotels but thought I would give this one a review. Maybe it is because they put me in such a fantastic room with a view. Room I was in was spotless, although the corridor could do with brightening up as they are very old hat. Food great, breakfast amazing and staff fantastic. Will be staying here again the next time I am up in Inverness

Room Tip: Be 007 and get a room with a view

Upgraded to a lovely room with bay window overlooking the River Ness. Well equipped room with a huge and very comfortable bed. Pillows a little firm. Free wifi was a bit erratic. Decent breakfast in the morning. As usual with a buffet breakfast some of the items were not quite as hot as they could be but it was a decent selection.
Didn't use the attached leisure club/pool and didn't eat in the restaurant as there was a great Italian just 100 yds away.
Would give special mention the hotel receptionist, Sarah, who was extremely pleasant and helpful and a real asset to the place.
Will return.

Dear Guest

Thank you for posting your review on Trip Advisor.

I'm really delighted you are going to stay with us again and that you enjoyed your visit so much.

It is a shame that your breakfast wasn't as hot as it should've been and I have mentioned this to our Head Chef so that we can look into this.

Also, we are looking at the WIFI issue as we have very recently had this upgraded so it is disappointing that you had trouble with the service.

Thank you very much for giving a special mention to Sarah - she is thrilled, it's always such a boost to receive such lovely recognition from our guests.

I note you are a seasoned traveller and reviewer so we very much appreciate your experienced opinion.

Thank you once again and I do hope we can welcome you back very soon.

Kind regards, Della
