The hotel is in a good position by the river and close to the shops and castle. I recently had High Tea at the hotel. It was great value with good choices of main dishes, followed by selection of cakes, biscuits & scone. Staff also pleasant. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Spent a weekend in Inverness with the wife and kids at the Palace in Inverness. Our room overlooked the river and Inverness castle. Nice and convenient location with a great leisure club.
Didn't eat in the hotel but the breakfast was superb. Keep up the good work will definitely be back

Arranged my friends hen weekend in this hotel. Well we couldn't have asked for better service. They decorated the table and room as we had asked for and bent over backwards to accommodate all our needs. Honestly they were Fantastic, so helpful and pleasant to talk to. The staff were all brilliant, the manager, the reception staff, the waiting staff, spa staff and night porter all lovely. Everything was just perfect!!! Location is stunning and close to everything. Cannot fault anything. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. Best place I've every stayed. Thank you all very much.

As other reviewers have stated, this hotel is in a great location, convenient to excellent dining and shopping.
The rooms with the castle and river views are huge, and the views are lovely. There is a leisure center and restaurant available, but I did not take advantage of them and cannot comment. But the small bar is nice for a post sightseeing nip, or a pre sightseeing blast of espresso.
Travelers arriving via car GPS note: They are doing construction on the banks of the River Ness, and a lot of the nearby roads are closed. When I was being guided in, the GPS didn't know this and as a result I got to see a lot more of the city than I wished, but could never quite reach the hotel. Finally I stopped and received directions for a "back way" in from a fellow who was working on the project. After I learned that route, it was easy to get to and from the hotel, and there was always a parking spot there.
Check in was fast and pleasant, housekeeping was efficient and timely. There are some excellent restaurants not 5 minutes walking away. This is a great place to base yourself for exploring this area of the Highlands.

Room Tip: I sure enjoyed the castle/river view!

Dear Lovely Guest!

Thank you for taking the time to post your review on Trip Advisor.

I am sorry the road works were an inconvenience and it can be a bit complicated at the moment to get into the city centre, depending on which route you are taking. We are advised that the works should be finished soon and if any future travellers are reading, please call us for alternative directions - we'll be happy to guide you in!

It's fantastic that you enjoyed your stay with us and I hope that we can welcome you to the hotel again in the future.

Thanks ever so much and very kind regards, Della.

Good location, easy and beautiful walking to any and all city center locales. Old building, so don't expect glitz and glamour, but good serviced overall. Views of the castle right across the river. Shopping is with a 5 minute as all the best places in town tool

Inverness is a super place to visit and you will find it difficult to beat this hotel for location, value, and comfort. One of our party had a room facing the river with a bow window and said it was the best room they had ever stayed in.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the river with a bow window.

Right in the heart of the city centre, with all shops, bars and excellent restaurants within easy walking distance, this hotel offers superb comfort with great attention to detail. We got up this morning, had a swim in the 50ft pool plus a soak in the spa. Lovely!
We were lucky, as I had been given £100 Best Western voucher as a present which went towards the cost. Probably not in our normal weekend away budget, but if you don't mind spending a bit more than budget hotel prices, you'll love it

Room Tip: Try for river view. Lift very small so bear in mind when choosing floor
