“Excellent Hotel that ticks all the boxes”
Reviewed 19 April 2012

Used this hotel for a very brief overnight stay. Arrived late and left early .. but .. the staff were very efficient and friendly, the room was excellent - very comfortable, large comfortable bed, good sized TV lots of channels and good WIFI connection. Fabulous bathroom. Safe and easy parking. Really good quality cooked breakfast came quickly and you could tell had been 'properly made' nice and hot and fresh ingredients.
This would be my first choice in Inverness - great value for money .. well done!

This hotel is no longer brand-new, but it has a lot of character. The rooms are a little small but very cozy. The staff make this hotel--very friendly and happy to help. Breakfast is quite good, and the little pool is great for smaller children. The water is very warm, which is pleasant. ***One caveat in case WiFi access is a must for you: Although it is free in the rooms the signal is somewhat weak. Also, it didn't work for our laptop, although it did work on our Android device. Still, if constant WiFi connectivity is a necessity for you, you might consider calling a head or making sure that you're booked in a room that has a strong WiFi signal.

Room Tip: Room 115 has a four-poster bed and has a beautifully detailed ceiling.

I have stayed here in excess of 10 times during the last year.

The food is great with plenty of choice, the staff are excellent, the rooms are well sized and the pool/gym is a bonus.

Great value too

I stayed here for three nights, on arrival the staff were polite and friendly and check in was quick. I had a twin room with good but a little worn in places decor. I had to change rooms as the door would not lock but that was dealt with quickly and little fuss. I ate in the restaurant the first night and the food was amazing. The Venison pie is highly recommended. The walk into town took 10 minutes but there are plenty of taxis and a bus that stops in the next road. The only fault of this hotel was that the floor boards were creaky so could hear other guests walking up and down the corrider and in the room next door. I could also hear the guest next door taliking on his mobile phone and opening and closing the wardrobe and drawers.

Stayed at Craigmonie for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Had lovely massage in Sandalwoods Health spa and relaxing swim in pool. Not a big pool but enough to enjoy. Restaurant in conservatory had good food only complaint was that the meals were served too quick!! Not a normal complaint I know, but something they might like to consider. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had rooms in the annex which were spacious, very clean and modern. Could do with a chair in room tho. All in all and great place to stay.

Stayed here one night for business, the staff were excellent, very friendly and accomodating to any request. Ate in the restaraunt, which was very reasonably priced and tasty too. Room was good, you can see that they are trying to modernise, in stages, and the little touches do work. However, the room was really hot, despite turning the radiator off and the window wouldn't open on a latch - but a very minor complaint to a really enjoyable stay.
