Craigmonie hotel is a nice clean small hotel about 15 mins walk from centre of inverness. The staff are friendly and the food is good we ate there one evening and had breakfast one morning.
We did not try any of the facilities but they looked ok. I would stay there again if I was in the area

I stayed for 3 nights in room 258 which is in the annex. It was like a goldfish bowl. I felt very uncomfortable as windows only had black out blind and no veil or curtains. Using the toilet there are windows looking in and using the shower had the same issue. If I wanted to get changed in the room, I had to pull black out blind down and put the lights on which is not ideal as windows looking straight across at me. Every night when I got back from work the card for the door wouldn't work and I had to walk round to reception for a new one. Breakfast wasn't very pleasant unless your up at the crack of dawn when it was obviously cooked. I got a chocolate stain on one of the pillow covers and all housekeeping did was hide it under the other pillow rather than changing it for a clean one. Also lots of stains on the carpet and no toilet roll holder in the bathroom. Swimming pool is fine if you just want to get wet but too small if you want a swim! Definately won't be using this hotel again.

We only stayed one night but could not have had a better experience, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. At check in kitchen had closed but they made us soup and sandwiches to tide us over to dinner which was delicious. Absolutely fantastic stay.

Booked our holiday through an agent so we when we arrived we had no idea what to expect. The staff were great and the accommodations were wonderful. Our room was the size of a small apartment and very well decorated. The bathroom was clean and fully equipped with a bath and separate shower as well as a towel warmer.

The bar had a nice selection of Whiskeys and the full breakfast in the morning was over the top. Niall MacLennan the manager and Trish from reception went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after.

We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Inverness and would stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay. Lovely meal in the restaurant with prompt service and couldn't fault breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful, special thanks to Claire for sharing 'timber' on Bluetooth for our little girl. Added bonus was the upgrade to a suite.

We chose this hotel because my husband loved the look of it from the photo, and the reality exceeded expectations. It had all the things we want when we're travelling - clean, comfortable room and en suite with a bath; free parking and wifi; pleasant, helpful staff. We were able to check in an hour early which made things much easier for us. Breakfast was part of the deal, a delicious buffet with plenty of vegetarian options.

The hotel is located in a lovely, quiet area but still within walking distance of the castle, river and city centre. Our only gripe would be that we weren't there long enough to enjoy the indoor pool, gym, sauna and spa.

Staff was friendly at check in. Our room was very badly outdated. Bathroom was clean, but carpet in bedroom area was not. Room was very small. We had a "Twin" room. With two twin beds.
Room was very cold on arrival. Tried adjusting heat and went for dinner at onsite restaurant while the room warmed up. Service was slow at the restaurant but food was decent.
When we returned to the room, it had not warmed up at all. The heater was still cold. Tried calling the front desk but the phone would not connect us. Had to walk down (we were on second floor) to talk to them and she said she would send someone right up to fix it.
Heat was obviously on in the hotel, as there was an obvious 10 degree change in temperature between our bedroom and the hall. I waited in my room for them to fix it. 45 minutes later, no one arrived. I went back downstairs and as soon as she saw me she said she had forgotten to send someone! She sent someone upstairs with me. It turned out that the unit had been powered off at the main switch in the room so the adjusting dial wouldnt do anything.

It finally heated up. This also turned on the towel heater in the bathroom which was a nice touch. Unfortunately since the room was so small, the bed was right against the heater so I roasted all night in order to keep the room at a decent temperature.

We stayed here because of a tour we were on, otherwise we would not have chosen it. The cost was approx $185 for one night. Not worth it.
