“Nice hotel in a great location”
Reviewed 18 May 2012

At the time of writing the Premier Inn Inverness West is still quite new and this certainly adds to it's appeal. Rooms are big, bright and well equipped. The hotel still has that "new" feeling to it and offers some nice views from most rooms. If you ever wanted confirmation of Inverness' tourist appeal you only need to look at the number of hotels the tourist trade sustains in this great city; the Premier Inn chain alone has 4 but although they are all good this is in my opinion the best. As the name suggests the hotel is situated in the West of Inverness with fantastic scenery on your doorstep. The centre of town is an easy 5 minute drive or a pleasant 30 minute walk. I enjoyed long walks along the canal or a round of golf after work (both on the hotel doorstep). The hotel has plenty of free parking and great wireless internet access. There is decent food in the Beefeater restaurant attached to the hotel and the staff are welcoming and friendly. The Premier Inn don't do room service etc but that has never been an issue for me.

In summary a great hotel offering great value for money in a beautiful location, what more could you want?

Room Tip: Rooms either overlook the car park at the front of the hotel or the golf course and mountains on the...

had a lovely lunch in the restaurant! the surroundings were very nice, everything was new, clean and very modern! our lunch was served quite quickly and the staff were very nice and polite! the food was reasonably priced, with special deals if you eat before 6.30pm, wide variety off food on offer, lovely outside space where you can sit and enjoy the view on to the golf course. Would be lovely on a summers night, i was looking for a childrens menu, but couldnt see one, was thinking of visiting with my children, but would maybe have to enquire about this first!

This is a new Premier Inn - the rooms are large and comfortable. It is in a fantastic position just at the head of Loch Ness - just a few minutes drive to the loch and if you drive the opposite way just a few minutes drive to Inverness.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the golf course. We were on the third floor and the view from our window...

I'm not a lover of budget hotels, but this one really is great and renewed my confidence in them. It is new, so everything is clean and the staff are so welcoming. I didn't eat here so can't comment on the food although the facilities looked very good. My stay was very, very pleasant for £29 a night. Parking is good. It is slighly on the outskirts of the town but if you've got a car, it's no problem and is on the way in/to Loch Ness.

Room Tip: Ratings are for a budget hotel and not to be confused with a high quality hotel.

Would reccomend the restaurant if eating out lovely surroundings friendly helpful staff reasonable priced food excellent portions and good offers on as well. Burgers are fantastic and one of our party had the rack of ribs and said it was the best he had ever tasted! The ice cream sundaes are not to be missed either :)
Can't comment on rooms as just ate here.
