Gask House Cottages are a beautiful little collection of cottages in a beautiful rural location, but still close to Inverness. We only stayed for 2 nights but will definitely go back for longer. The decor is lovely and the layout was very well done. Your view is amazing, and is shared with a small menagerie of chickens, highland cattle, sheep and horses! Jill makes you feel very welcome and although self catering, she had stocked our fridge with excellent quality breakfast.

My husband and I stayed here in June 2012 and had an absolutely wonderful time. We loved it so much we considered rearranging our trip to allow for more time here. The hosts make you feel right at home and the cottage is stocked with homemade baked goods and pantry essentials. The property is beautiful and relaxing and there are plenty of things to do in the area, including right around the house. Depending on your schedule, there are also plenty of things to do outside of Inverness, which the hosts detail in their welcome packet. It's located a bit outside of the city, but I wouldn't recommend staying anywhere else in Inverness!

We stayed in August for 4 nights and loved it. The directions given were really helpful and we were met by Jill who gave us a very friendly welcome. The fridge and cupboards were full of all the essential foods we would need and the cottage was delightful. It is so well equipped and comfortable almost better than home! The views are spectacular from the cottage. We even enjoyed hearing Rocky chop chip the Rooster each morning!!
The farm is not far from inverness and it is a good central point to explore the beautiful northern highlands. We would highly recommend this as a lovely place to stay and hope to return some day.

We stayed here for a long weekend as a couple in March. Clava Cottage is beautifully appointed and was extremely warm and comfortable. Hosts were wonderfully helpful but unobtrusive. Nice little welcome pack of essentials provided. Visited by "Misty," the friendliest dog ever on several occasions and the beautiful grey cat. We really felt away from it all here and yet were very close to the city of Inverness. Can't praise this place highly enough for providing a luxury romantic break for us. Loved seeing the highland cattle from the kitchen window too. We will definitely come back here.

Gask House comes right at the top of a long list of holiday rentals. We had a week there prepared for Highland mists and instead we got lots of sunny, sometimes even hot, days. This is a winning combination: a fantastic location where wilderness and city and some of Scotland's finest heritage are in easy reach and a delightful home from home cottage. Thoughtfully equipped and beautifully furnished we wanted for nothing. The McNicols made us welcome with a warm smile and cheery hello and a much appreciated welcome pack of porridge; their own eggs and scones that I could only dream of making. We loved the animals too, I have no hesitation in recommending this cottage, though a bit of me wants to keep it secret just for me!

Room Tip: We were in Clava which was plenty big for the 2 of us.

Thank you for your kind comments and we're very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. I think you also made a comment on our survey about blackout blinds to keep out the light during the long summer nights. New blinds arrived yesterday and are being installed on
Saturday for this week' guests. Homemade meringues are on the menu for the tea tray
this week!! Hope to see you back at Gask soon. The McNicols.

Just spent a weekend at Gask House, staying in the Clava Cottage. The accommodation is first class with tasteful decor and great furnishings, special mention for the huge comfortable bed. The kitchen is very well appointed and the best I've seen in a self catering facility. The location is brilliant for touring and also easy access to Inverness.
The cottages have a great relaxed feel with the McNicol Family( including Misty the Dog) hosting in a friendly and helpful way.
All the little differences which make the place special include the firewood for the wood burning stove, bread. milk, eggs and even a welcome cake along with free wi-fi, the blackboard with "what's on ", the list goes on.
Can't recommend this place highly enough.
