Only good thing about this hotel is the location. Its walkable to the town centre. This hotel needs gutted and redesigned and upgraded. My single room was so tiny and my friends room was in the basement with inadequate lighting he could not read. Locks on bedroom door old fashioned and not easy to use.
Paper thin walls so you could hear peoples conversations easily (not good if workmen/construction people staying and most of their conversation consists of swearing). It feels like all areas of space are utilised to the max.
The reception area is the main thoroughware and when you are standing checking in with your cases you are in the way of diners and staff. Not a good reception.
Breakfast was ok. Rooms got cleaned well but much to our amusement the dining room was not hoovered for breakfast time and there was a massive stain on the carpeted floor from the party the night before. Unprofessional.
Dont stay here just now if you want a peaceful night. Lots of xmas parties and its even more noisy because of the thin walls. Suits trade people or those having a night out themselves.
