Moyness has a very convenient, quiet location, only a ten minute stroll from the town centre.
First impression is a beautiful traditional grey stone house set in very neat gardens with plenty of parking at the side.
We arrived slightly early but this was not a problem and we received a warm welcome from the owner.
The bedrooms are very spacious, tastefully decorated, comfortable and warm. The beds are great with crisp white linen and good pillows (we slept very well).
The shower rooms are spotless, very well maintained with lots of thick white towels and lovely Ness toiletries, locally sourced from a community project.
Breakfast was delicious and service very efficient. We were meeting up with family members and thought this a perfect place to stay; airy, light and bright with space to get together.
We loved all the art on the walls and particularly enjoyed discovering Scrabble in the sitting room for a late, after dinner game.
We would stay again.

Room Tip: We had rooms on the ground floor. They were very quiet.

Stayed here recently and unfortunately for me; it only lasted one night. I could have easily stayed for a month! The house is a stones throw from the city and a leisurely walk from the train station. On arrival the house and grounds are kept well and I was welcomed by the extremely friendly staff who create a homely atmosphere. Check in was a speedy process which can often be stretched out for some similar establishments that I have visited in the past. Their knowledge of the area is second to none and information is available around the reception area as well.

Ive stayed in many hotels, hostels, B&B's and guesthouses but Ive to say the bedroom was magnificent. The room was at prefect temperature which is extremely important as the weather was quite chilly that day. The room was very clean, lovely size and plenty of towels were available. Soap, shampoo and shower gel are provided which are sourced locally which is nice to see as I'm sure cheaper products could be used as in similar establishments. The bathroom and bedroom are very modern.

The breakfast was better than any 4* hotels Ive ever visited, never been to a 5* but I would say it is of a similar standard. Lovely food, plenty of options and uses local ingredients.

Our second visit to Moyness House, rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable , hosts are very welcoming. A short walk from the center of town. I would definitely stay here again. Lots of lovely art from the nearby Castle Gallery on the walls.

Had a fantastic few days exploring the Highlands. Booked Moyness on recommendation. What a gem if a place. Beautifully situated close to city centre. The house is lovely and the room was beautifully decorated. Lots of lovely touches. Jenny and Richard were very welcoming and helpful, gave us lots of information to make the most of our stay. They also booked a restaurant for us on our first night just round the corner from Moyness, so not too far for us after a long journey. The breakfast was just delicious and everything you would want to set you up for the day. Thank you Jenny and Richard, we will be back.

I recently stayed at Moyness House where I had last stayed several years ago . I had requested a ground floor room and stayed in the Highland room which was large and roomy. This room was ideal for me with a compact but beautifully designed bathroom (so important) and every amenity one could possibly need (or want!).

I loved the fine art work found not only in the bedroom I stayed in but throughout the main rooms. Every room is individual exhibiting beautiful style and taste and such a contrast to the standard hotel room where everything has a sameness about it.

The owners were as always extremely helpful in suggesting places I might like to explore as well as making reservations for dinner at wonderful local restaurants.

We were delighted with our two night stay at Moyness House. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable, the breakfasts were first rate and the house is within an easy walk of the Cathedral, Castle and the city center. Our hosts were most helpful with advice on self-driving tours of the nearby country-side and certain distilleries to visit. They were also very accommodating in providing ice for my wife to relieve the discomfort she was experiencing from some lower back issues. We would be happy to stay at Moyness House again on a return visit to Inverness.

The following is my husband;s account of his stay at Moyness House on a business trip:

This is a large Victorian Villa which is in immaculate condition with plenty of off the road car parking in a quiet residential street only 5 minutes walk from the riverside. A bit like a small hotel without a TV as there is plenty of space inside.

I stayed over for a couple of nights on business and found the room to be extremely comfortable with a lovely, clean, modern bathroom with bathrobe and spotless bed sheets.

I see that Moyness House has won several awards and also one for the breakfast. This is little wonder and well deserved as the breakfast is a real stand out served up in a spacious, immaculate, very fresh looking breakfast room. The menu is also extensive for a breakfast menu and anything from the traditional and tasty Scottish Breakfast to the other options are simply top notch.

Absolutely no complaints here and it deserves the Excellent Tripadvisor rating.

I would go as far as to say that this will rank with one of the top bed and breakfasts in the UK and if you are looking to stay in Inverness then you have found it.
