I booked Macnabs for a lunch with colleagues. Beautiful day so outside tables busy, dining room quiet, which suited us as we wanted a catch up. Ordered our food at the bar, (after a bit of a wait and being ignored by the waiter stocking the bar) menu looked lovely, mainly sandwiches and soup.
50 minutes later we were still waiting. Having chased up the order and explained that we had to get back to work, met with disinterest and the distinct impression our order had been forgotten. One hour after ordering food arrived - sandwiches ok, soup cold as was pasta. Soup returned with a grudging offer to re heat. Waitress could not care less. On settling bill, turned out waitress also could not work till and had to call for help. A minimum number of poorly trained, surly waiters to one busy bistro at the height of the tourist season is not the way to go! We will not be back, and Macnabs obviously feel they do not need our trade.
