What a superb b&b in a beautiful, quiet location. Brad was a perfect host - very welcoming and informative and the attention to detail was great. We stayed in the Beauly room which had lovely views of the Moray Firth and was very well appointed; the bed was so comfy. Breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. Two excellent restaurant recommendations from Brad - The Mustard Seed in Inverness and the Cawdor Tavern.

My husband and I stayed for four nights as part of our honeymoon in Scotland. Brad was a welcoming host and his local knowledge enhanced our stay in Inverness. The cottage itself is immaculate with stunning views, all the facilities you could ask for and a great tasting breakfast to boot. We will definitely be staying here again, when we are next in the area.

Room Tip: Both rooms offer stunning views over the water. You can't go wrong.

The towels here are fluffy and thick and large and the bathroom mirror best I have seen. Views from our warm room over the Firth of Moray made our stay memorable while the unseasonable wintry gale force winds and rain did their worst. Modern and clean and nicely set out. Well done to Brad and honorable mention to Branston.

Room Tip: All rooms are good, right on the Firth.

A special occasion (30th anniversary) warranted a special location, and this was it, though the weather was a "little" wet, we had a great time, and were well hosted by Brad and Branston,
rooms have a view to die for, and all facilities are first class ,
Thanks again Brad for a wonderful 5 days

My wife and I could not have been more pleased. Our room was supremely comfortable. Brad is a gracious and knowledgeable host. The views are as picturesque as anyone could hope for. In two words: stay here!

We spent 3 night at Beach Cottage during a 7 week holiday in the UK. The accommodation was exceptional along with the location which is close to Inverness, Loch Ness and many other lovely Scottish attractions The cottage was situated right on the banks of the beautiful Moray Firth with stunning views (and sunsets) across the water. Our room was comfortable and extremely clean with a modern ensuite and all the little extras you could need. Brad and sweet Branston the Border Terrier were the best company and made us very welcome. Breakfasts were very generous, Brad makes the best scrambled eggs, and we enjoyed the morning conversations with Brad and the antics of Branston. We would highly recommend Beach Cottage.

Thank you Fraethel for you excellent review and it gives me great satisfaction to hear that you enjoyed all that Beach Cottage has to offer. I have lived here for nearly 2 years and I'm still blown away by the amazing sunsets. Thanks also for the compliment about my scrambled eggs - I use really good quality eggs so I can't take all of the credit. Thanks again and we hope to see you again in the future.

An amazing first time visit to Scotland with my daughter. How did we get so lucky? Quaint, beautiful B & B just minutes from Inverness. The room and it's view were truly 5 star. Our host Brad (along with Branston) is welcoming, friendly and a wealth of knowledge of the area. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! I will definitely return!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Beach Cottage is an idyllic bed and breakfast located on the shores of the Moray Firth only 6 miles from Inverness City Centre. The B&B has a quiet, semi rural location and offers accommodation with stunning sea views. The 200 plus year old cottage has been extended and refurbished to a high standard with two en suite rooms, the Moray and the Beauly. Moray is in the new part of the cottage and has french doors with a Juliet balcony and offers panoramic views of the Moray Firth from Inverness to the South West around to Fort George and Chanonry Point to the North East. Beauly is in the old part of the cottage and offers similar views but they can be seen from the comfort of seats in the bay window. Please note that Beauly has old wood beams and the shower in the en suite has a low ceiling not really suitable for anyone taller than 1.8M. Dolphins, porpoises, seals and sea otters can frequently be spotted from the cottage as well as a huge variety of different species of birds. An idyllic and peaceful location with beautiful scenery. Due to the semi rural location it is necessary to have a vehicle. ... more   less
