We were a couple of New Yorkers visiting the Outer Hebrides for the first time. We rented hybrids from Ticket to Ride and also requested transport to (and back from) the islands.
Figuring out the logistics for a week-long trip to the Outer Hebrides during the high season can be a stressful experience. So we are especially grateful to the folks at Ticket to Ride for making the bike rental/transport process so easy and seamless. They were very friendly, knowledgeable and generally awesome. They were also super responsive and quickly put our anxious minds at ease.
(As an aside, if you are looking to visit the Outer Hebrides in July/August, we would recommend reaching out to the hotels/b&b's in April at the latest.)
The bikes were brand new, and the panniers they provided were spacious and fully waterproof. Ticket to Ride replaces their entire fleet of bikes every year, so regardless of when you rent (or for how long), you are basically guaranteed to receive a bike in an excellent condition.
We intend to visit Scotland again and when we do, we will be sure to drop by Ticket to Ride, even if it's just for a day trip around Inverness/Loch Ness.
