We appreciated the parking facilities, as well as the location (very near the centre). We had a meal in the hotel's restaurant which was nice and not too pricy. Our room was quite old-fashioned and we were very amused at the stairs, corridors, fire doors, small steps and bends needed to get to our room. The absence of wifi in the room was not very practical for us and for the price they ask, we feel they might make the necessary investment to offer this to clients.

We have recently returned from touring the Highlands and stayed at the Beaufort Hotel towards the last few days of our trip. It's a beautiful hotel and the staff were really friendly,we had dinner in the bar and the food was really good ,place has a lovely atmosphere and its great location, about 5/10 mins walking distance into town. The hotel Manager Graham was so friendly and nothing was any bother, a real personal touch to this Hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others, We would definitely stay there again. The hotel is well located and is only a 5 minute walk to the centre of the town. The rooms were modern and very clean, service was good and helpful.

Breakfast was freshly cooked, it also has good car parking.

We booked a superior room for five nights - lovely room but it was at the front of the hotel, above the only outdoor seating area, so we found that guests tended to congregate under our window for a late night chat in the warm weather - could disturb your sleep! Other than that no complaints. Breakfast was good, staff very friendly, room very clean and hotel was well situated for exploring the city.

We were extremely lucky with the weather and had a great stay in this lovely city.

Didn't eat in the hotel restaurant but noted that the prices did seem expensive. Loads of other good eating places to vist - The Castle Tavern was just down the road, great food and a great outdoor eating area that was a perfect sun trap. Tapas bar just opposite, near the castle is also highly recommended - great food and friendly staff.

Inverness is well worth a vist - highy recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear of hotel maybe quieter.

The room was nice and clean with good bathroom facilities . The hotel is located at walking distance from the city centre. Parking is free and the staff are friendly. Since it is an old building we have to pass a lot of stairs, up&downs and fire doors to reach our room.

I thought “breakfast not included in room rate” was a silly thing posh down town hotels in major cities used to squeeze another pound or two from their company-paid customers. For some reason you can choose "breakfast is not included" at Beaufort, a fact that was not clear until the booking was completed. Breakfast is though additional at 12.95 pund/ person and day. We went downtown for ours...

On the website is stated free WI-FI in all areas but in reallity there was only a poor connection in the bar area. If WI-FI have a to bad signal it is easy to make it better by adding extra routers and antennas to cover the area , at a minimum cost. At Beaufort they don’t, they just blame “the old building”.

We had a good meal with a full plate and plenty food, especially potatoes. The sauces was creamy with my salmon but overall just a bit much- a complaint or praise- most people I noticed left food on the plate. Service good and very friendly. Price just a bit steep for 3 courses.

Hotel was really lovely and a great jumping-off point for our trip further north. About 10mins walk from the city centre and easily accesible from railway and bus station. Reception staff was very helpful and offered to hold on to our bags and move them into our room once check-in was open.
Didn't eat at the restaurant but the bar was well-catered and friendly staff - thanks Matt! Would definitely recommend this for everyone.
