“Way too expensive!”
Reviewed 3 September 2012

Not knowing Inverness, I booked this hotel from the Internet not realising that it is not the most central PI in Inverness. If you require Central, then use the newer PI on the Riverside. The staff were the best thing about this place, as everything else was bland - the room smelled of smoke despite this being a 'no smoking' hotel. But above all, this was not worth the money. £215 for two nights accommodation in an off-pitch location, with little or no amenities.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at our hotel.

It really matters to us that our guests enjoy every aspect of their stay. We sincerely apologise that on this occasion our hotel did not meet your expectations.

Our pricing policy works in the same way as many airlines where prices are driven by market conditions at the time. Although prices may increase at times of demand, they may also reduce on nights which are less busy.

We do have a Team who closely monitor all hotels to ensure they are competitively priced as we always try and give you the best value for money.

Thanks for taking the time to review our hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us here at Inverness Centre Premier Inn (Millburn Road).

It's great to see such possitive feedback and I will make sure the teams are aware of this great feedback. All staff here work very hard to make sure those rooms are spotless and that all our guests feel welcome and it looks like we definitely achieved this during your stay.

Thanks again for taking the time to provide this feedback - we hope to welcome you back again soon,

Becca

Our room was very clean and looked as if it had been recently refurbished. Staff were friendly and helpful. However, we were disturbed by the family in the room overhead and it took two trips to the desk for it to be sorted out. The breakfast was good, but our order for a cooked breakfast was mislaid and we had to remind them. The rating should have been a 5, but these incidents spoiled it.

Room Tip: If you want a peaceful night, it might be helpful to try to get a room which does not have children...

Friendly staff in the hotel and restaurant, good value food and a great location. The room was spotless and well appointed - except the shower gel dispenser (as in many a PI) was broken. The only problem was the heat. There is a confusing temperature control which doesn't seem to work and no visible air vents/cooler. A fan was provided - but the temperature was still uncomfortable.
Never mind - a generally very pleasant stay.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback on your stay with us here at Inverness Centre Premier Inn (Millburn Road).

It's great that you found all the staff you met to be friendly - I will make sure this is passed on to the teams in both the hotel and the restaurant.

I'm sure Ewa, our Head Housekeeper, and her team will be delighted to hear your room described as "Spotless"! I do apologise you found the room temperature to be uncomfortable. At the moment we do not have air conditioning and the weather has been unusually warm recently for the North of Scotland so I appreciate that the fan may not have been enough to cool the room. If you are staying with us again please do not hesitate to pop to Reception and ask us to have a look at the heating panel in the room for you, to confirm everything is working properly. We could also look into arranging a ground floor room for you as these do tend to be cooler - just give us a call once you have booked and we will happily do that for you.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback and we hope to welcome you back again soon,

Becca.

After a long drive from Stirling, taking in the excellent Scone Palace near Perth and the Funicular up Cairngorm mountain, this Premier Inn was all I desired. Quick check-in, big screen TV, nice modern room, located on the main road, just as you enter Inverness. Next morning 'Scottish breakfast' at Morrisons, just a little further along Milburn Road. Travelled on to Fort George about 8 miles away, didn't see any dolphins, but the views on a clear day are spectacular, and the audio tour very good. The new Culloden Moor Centre is within six miles of Inverness, is now state of the art, and the walk around the battlefield, a strange combination of outstanding beauty and sad history (strongly recommended).

We stayed for one night while we were touring around Scotland and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and sorted out a room problem immediately. Room fittings were very modern and a very comfortable bed.
We had dinner and breakfast in the adjacent restaurant and the food and service were great.
The staff make this an excellent hotel and we would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We were on the 1st floor overlooking the main road and there is some road noise so if you are a very...

Stayed here while in Inverness on business as my usual hotel full. Very friendly welcome, comfortable and clean room. Ate in the restaurant and surprised at quality of food, had an excellent steak. Breakfast also good, lovely porridge and poached eggs done jsut right. The staff in the restaurant were very helpful.
Will stay here again. On ly negative was cost was higher than I have paid before for a premier inn but then it was Inverness in the height of tourist season.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback following your recent stay.

It is brilliant that you found the staff to be so friendly and helpful - I will make sure to pass this on to the team.

I will pass your comments regarding your meals to Linda, our Food & Beverage Manager. I'm sure Linda and the team in the Restaurant will be delighted to hear such possitive feedback.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay and that you will choose us again. I can only apologise that the price was higher than you would perhaps expect. We do not control the prices at a site level, this is done centrally, but I would imagine you are entirely correct that the reason it was higher than usual was due to how busy Inverness as been recently.

Thank you again for your feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon,

Becca
