We had the pleasure of staying with Susan and John for a night as we travelled up from the Lake District to Caithness. A very warm welcome greeted us after our long drive and was rapidly followed by freshly brewed coffee and home made cake. We chatted away to Susan and John who are both exceptionally amiable people then were shown up to our first floor room - number one. It was large, spotlessly clean, with modern furnishings and a very comfortable bed.

We spent the evening in the town centre which is only a 5-10 minute walk from Inverglen- very handy for shopping!

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with so much to choose from! There is a daily special as well as the more standard options of full Scottish breakfast. I had waffles with warm summer berry compote. Gorgeous!

We thought this Guest House was wonderful - a real home from home with extra touches and hosts that our clearly in the right profession - and who go out of their way to help and assist. We only wish we could have stayed longer, and if we ever return to Inverness, we know where we will be staying.

We're glad you enjoyed your stay here, and that the waffles met with your approval! We hope the rest of your trip goes well and that you enjoy the time you have with your family and friends.

Have a safe journey home, and if you can drag yourself away from the wall to wall sunshine in Perth, please do come back and visit us again - the creamy orange french toast is also very well received!

Best wishes, Susan & John

A group of us stayed here at the start of a bike trip along the Great Glen Way and were so impressed that we came back again and stayed another two nights after a terrible experiance in another B&B further down the track.

John & Susan are great hosts, very wecolming and just like everyone else I have to say the home made cakes were simply delicious, as were the breakfasts, which were all made with fine ingredients (ie. locally sourced sausges) and some great touches like the freshly prepared individual fruit salads and fantastic coffee.

The house is beautiful, the bedrooms spacious, well decorated, exceptionally clean and again great touches like really fluffy towels, good range of toileteries and complementary bottled water and fresh milk. A huge guest lounge complete with giant TV and massive range of DVD's as well.

John and Susan were also really flexible in accomodating us after we returned unexpectedly and looked after us all very well.

The B&B is also very centrally located and easy to find.

I would certainly go back to this B&B and recommend anyone else to.

We really enjoyed our stay there. It was the best place of all!! The owner are so lovely and nice, we first get tea and coffe and a yummiiiii lemoncake. Then we saw our great rooms, which where clean, calm, modern and really comfortable. They could give us really good tipps and printed out helpful maps. As we asked for good restaurant, they immediatelly made a reservation for our group. The breakfast was absolutely the best one!!!! And they really love children :-) You have a 10 minute walk from there to the Highstreet and only a 5 minute walk to the great big mall in Inverness. Allthough it is a bigger city, you have a lovely and really calm street where you live.
We are sure to come again (if it is only to taste another yummy cake of Susan) Thank you for all

Everyone seems to comment on Sue's baking. As many guests will notice, I am no stranger to a cake myself. Luckily the guests get first choice otherwise I'd be even wider than I am.

We want our guests to have a great holiday and if we can play a small part in that then we will do whatever we can. As we hear many stories from our guests we have a good idea as to which restaurants are good and which ones aren't so good - we are happy to pass this information on. As for booking a restaurant for our guests that is all part of the service.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Inverglen Guest House.

John and Susan were very accommodating to any of our needs over the weekend we stayed in Inverglen.

We received tea and biscuits after we returned from a long cycle, we also had lovely cake baked by Susan.

We had excellent breakfasts, with a large choice and add-ons such as a daily special, also a very nice fruit salad.
The house is warm and modern, the showers are great, it is well located and there was room for parking cars and a place we could leave our bikes. John and Susan are always helpful if you need some guidance, eg if you need a place to eat, or a recommendation for activities.
Inverglen offers all you would need and want in a guesthouse and I recommend it highly.

None of our guests are ever knowingly underfed. Indeed several guests have almost begged us to stop feeding them - I say almost as they rarely refuse the cakes.

We are lucky enough to have a good size property with off street parking and plenty of room to store bikes securely.

We really enjoyed your company and hope that we helped you get the most from your stay in Inverness. You would be welcome back at any time.

Great welcome with a nice cup of tea in the living room with other guests. Comfy and clean bedroom. The large guest house offers to expérience a typical british house atmosphère. Extra bonus with home made picnic bag if needed. Very handy and good. We'll gladly come back for another stay.......................................................

It was great to have you as our guests and we really enjoyed your company. Our guest house is fairly relaxed and we try to make it a home from home. As many reviews seem to mention, we do like to feed our guests well.

Our three night stay was excellent from the word go. We were welcomed with a cup of tea and nothing was to much trouble for John and Susan throught our stay. The rooms were outstanding, comfortable well equipped and very clean. The meals were excellent and the choice very varied with daily specials. Handy for the town centre and we would recommend it to anyone. You don't need to look any further for an excellent Guest House.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us and it is gratifying to know that we are getting things right. We want Inverglen Guest House to be as good as it can be and are always looking for ways to get better.

The daily specials have proven very popular and we believe it adds an extra degree of variety which is much appreciated by many guests.

We are very lucky to have such a great property in a great location, but it takes more than that to make it a great guest house. Reviews like this give us confidence that we have that little bit extra.

We hope to see you again.

Great B&B. John & Susan are great hosts, warm and welcoming. Home made cake and coffee on arrival and one afternoon when we got back early. Accommodation was immaculate and the residents' lounge particularly welcom. Town centre easily walkable (we're both late 50's). Top of our list if we're back in Inverness!

Thank you for your kind review. As many of our guests will have noticed Sue likes to bake and new cake creations are a regular feature both in the afternoons and as part of the breakfast.

We particularly like to ensure guests get a refreshment after a day of sightseeing and we are always interested to hear about what they have been up to so we can pass on recommendations (or warnings) to others.

Part of what makes a guest house stay special is the personal service and we do our best to keep up to date with what's hot and what's not locally.

We hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip and look forward to seeing you again.
