“Great Location and Wonderful Hosts”
Reviewed 27 July 2013

Very nice room with updated and clean bathroom. Hosts were very nice and the breakfast was good. Also a great location and the hosts are more than willing and answer any questions and provide information about the area. We had a wonderful stay and would stay again.

Stayed here one night, before going on to the Morefield, so glad the start of our wee break was so comfortable. The room we had was sheer luxury, everything of comfort to the last detail for travellers, including a lovely breakfast, a great advert for tourists from home and abroad. Michelle and Brian were the perfect hosts, explaining the wonders of porridge to a young Danish couple staying there at the same time as us! Would highly recommend this Guest House.

We stayed 2 nights last week on our trip to the Highlands and can't speak highly enough of the welcome, hospitality, location and cleanliness of the house. This is our second visit, travelling from Northern Ireland and hope to return again. Michelle and Brian are the perfect hosts. Breakfast was delicious as always and the large room, complete with fridge containing jug of milk and complementary water, was perfect and luxurious. We would never look for anywhere else to stay in Inverness and would highly recommend to anyone travelling that way.

Stayed here in mid June 2013 and hope to return many times, as this was the best guest house we've ever stayed in. Excellent location, under ten minutes walk into the centre and about five minutes to Inverness Castle. The Castle pub (opposite the caste) has great real ale and good food. Ample on-site parking; large room with at least a king size double bed, two tub chairs, dressing table with mirror and chair, tea/coffee making facilities, fridge with complementary water, hair dyer, long mirror, two luggage stands and decent sized wardrobe with hangers. The spacious bathroom had a large/double shower which was very powerful. Everything was spotless. You felt as if you were the first people to have ever stayed in the room or used the bathroom. Back private garden with table and six chairs. Breakfast was between 8.00 and 9.00; good choice of fruit and various options for a cooked breakfast. The owners, Michelle and Brian, were lovely. Always cheerful and making sure we had everything we needed. They were most helpful and informative; nothing was too much trouble. We recommend a stay here if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Inverness and we would certainly not stay anywhere else next time we are in this area, as we do not see how anything else can beat it.

We were given a warm welcome by Michelle who provided us with details of the area such as where to eat and what activities to do. The room was a little dated but was very clean and the bed was lovely and comfortable. It was great to have a fridge with more than a couple of little milks as is standard, the chocolates were a tasty touch. The bathroom was renovated and had a great shower and also provided some complimentary toiletries. Although located on a busy street, there is off street parking and even though our room was at the front of the house it was relatively quiet. Close to city centre, about a ten minute walk which was ideal. For breakfast there was a range of options from traditional to fish to vegetarian. Overall a great, comfortable stay.

Everything about our stay at Lynver was fantastic, right down to the bed. Our room was incredibly spacious, as was the bathroom. We had a mini fridge in our room and there is free Wi Fi. Out of the 2 1/2 weeks we spent in Ireland and Scotland, Lynver was the only place we stayed with such a comfortable bed! Everywhere else had very hard beds, but Lynver's bed was just heavenly. Breakfast was fantastic and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Lynver is also ideally located near downtown so it is within walking distance to many pubs, restaurants, and sites. I very highly recommend Lynver!

Lynver house is a newer B n B. Very modern, in a quiet location, good breakfast, gracious hosts (Michelle and Bryan), good shower with plenty of water volume and pressure (a rarity in B n B's in my experience), and what I suppose was a memory foam bed that I did not want to get out of in the morning! Wow, what a great night's sleep! Thank you Michelle and Bryan.
