I stayed here very recently with my sister (our secound visit), and it was every bit as excellent as the first time. So clean and spotless, homely and welcoming, with extra touches in the rooms, hand cream and lovely shower gels, sweets, bottled water, biscuits and plenty of refreshments. Alison looked after us so well and we ended up just chatting when we arrived, as her lovely cat come into our room, no doubt to check us out. If you are a cat lover, this is the place for you! And if you want somewhere very clean, comfortable and inviting and spotless, and want to pay 3 star prices for a 4 star experience, then no need to look any further. I wouldnt want to stay anywhere else in Inverness and I know I will be back. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. A menu was provided with a vast array of choices. The sausages were locally produced. What else can I say? Go for it, but please leave a room free for me now and again. Thank you Alison, see you again soon.

With so many guest houses in Inverness not too far from my fav' wobbly bridge (the Grieg Street Bridge) and the Scottish liqueuer shops, what first caught my eye and stood out about Craig Villa is that this one is a 4* guest house - in my opinion its worth a whole lot more stars than that.

Alison's guest house is far more superior because it's better value, spotlessly clean, comfortable, welcoming, and her cooked breakfasts are much more tastier than those that so many other hotels and guest houses dish up, in fact for the whole of this Scotland trip it was Alison's breakfast that was my favourite of the week.

Alison truly knows how to make visitors really feel at home and is a wealth of information on where to visit in Scotland, to which place to eat, to where to buy items such as metal wall art & bottles of Heather Cream inclusive of funny Nessie wrapping paper, to all about cats, oh and everything a tourist needs to know as well!!

Our cases were extremely heavy and I feel guilty because I know it wasn't easy for her but Alison helped us with these for which I'm truly grateful.

These are just some of the reasons why I've now stayed here a couple of times with my sister and why I know Alison will see us again in the future.

From the cheerful greeting at the door, through to the ultra-comfortable room, great breakfast and fantastic hospitality, this is a wonderful choice in Inverness. The rooms are well-equipped, spacious, quiet, warm and clean, and the breakfasts are exceptionally generous and piping hot. Overall, it is the best value for money I've experienced in the UK so far across five towns & cities.

It's only minutes from the town centre, a supermarket and very good restaurants and Alison is more than happy to help with suggestions of where to go. The train/bus stations are no more than five to ten minutes' walk. I would definitely return here if I came back to Inverness.
