“Friendly B&B”
Reviewed 30 March 2013

Stayed at the Ryeford Guest House in Inverness whilst working for a couple of days. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. Room was nicely appointed, comfortable and absolutely spotless. Breakfast was great and relay set me up for the day. Well positioned for the city centre. Would definitely stay there again.

This guest house was the best we have been in so far. Very easy walk from the train station, just make sure to take the stairs in town and not the long way around. The location was central to get into town for tours and experiencing Inverness. The lady of the house was very pleasant and made an amazing breakfast that kept you going all day. The street was quiet at night and a nice warm room when the temperature dropped outside. It was a great place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone.

We stayed at Ryeford at the end of our trek of the Great Glen Way, and found it to be a very clean B&B with nice facilities and a fantastic breakfast.

The location is great - very close to town - and I would certainly consider staying here again if I were in Inverness.

We felt like the only thing missing was the warmth of other B&Bs we've stayed at - whilst we've generally experienced a lovely, warm welcome from our Highland hosts, even when appearing soaking wet from a 23 mile walk having been given bad directions, there was still no cup of tea waiting. In almost every other B&B, regardless of our arrival time (or our state of exhaustion/soddenness!), there was always a cup of tea and a welcoming chat that just wasn't forthcoming here.

There's nothing to criticise here - the bed is comfy, the brekkie fab, and the house immaculate - but there's no soul to write home about, either.

I'd recommend Ryeford safe in the knowledge that you'll get exactly what it says on the tin - great facilities and a lovely brekkie.

Our one night at Ryeford Guest House came at the end of our long distance walk from Glasgow to Inverness. It was a perfect place to end our adventure, quiet, very comfortable and a good location. Breakfast was delicious!

We stayed for 2 nights in June 2012. This is a lovely house with a welcoming communal living room with television, lovely dining room, and well appointed bedroom. We were in a 2nd floor bedroom with a great view overlooking the city. Parking is on-street and we did have to drive around a few times before we found a spot. The hosts were very nice- friendly, funny, and happy to offer suggestions for restaurants and sites. Breakfast is ordered the night before, and it is hearty and delicious. This is on a high spot in Inverness and we walked down to town each day. We would go back!
