First of all, don't trust Google to give you directions to this place. You'll never get there! Thankfully we had a phone so we were able to call for better directions. Wilma had no problem with the fact that we were running late, and both she and her sister were very warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The room was small, which was a little challenging because we were on a 2-week trip with large suitcases. But, it wasn't that big of a deal. The house and neighborhood were very quiet and we were able to find parking on the street. Breakfast was good, and the dining room looks out onto a nice garden. It's an easy walk to shops and restaurants, though most of Inverness is nothing to write home about. It was a good point from which to explore near-by areas like Loch Ness and the Black Isle. I would stay here again!

Basic guest house which we have stayed at 5 times now.
Nothing to write home about, but no real problems either.
What i would call an average stay. Absolutely fine.
Breakfast was nice enough but get there early for best choice in our experience.
Easy walk to the train station.

Room Tip: A back room is best.

From the warm welcome, comfortable and clean room, excellent breakfasts and the perfect hosts, this was a wonderful B&B. The location is perfect, easy to walk from the train station and into town for dinner & shopping. We didn't spend enough time here so we will plan a return trip and stay at the Carbisdale. Thank you Wilma & Colin for one of our wonderful memories of our European Adventure!

What more can we say, first class hosts in Wilma and Colin, with a warm welcome. Wilma served up a good Scottish breakfast. Room had all the facilites we required, best accommodation we have had. On return from Orkney we booked up again, and that tells how good the Carbisdale B & B was.

Thanks for a great stay on 4th, 8th & 9th July 2012 Peter and Helen

This is probably the best accommodation I have ever stayed in. The house is charming, it's clean with great facilites including free WiFi access and the proprieters are friendly. They even cater for vegans. As a vegan I was delighted to find that when I went to breakfast each morning the soya milk, soya spread and soya yogurt were out waiting for me. I even had the option of porridge made with soya milk along with my 3 course vegan breakfast. I even had some great cuddles from their cat Bobby.

We picked Carbisdale due to the reviews and it's proximity to the train and bus station. It ended up being a great choice. Our hosts were very gracious and Wilma cooks an awesome full Scottish breakfast (with many choices and lighter options available as well).

There is a good hill when coming to their place from the train, so if you have large luggage you may still want a taxi to bring you up. With our wheeled bags, we found walking back down to the station to be quite easy. It is very close and that was handy for our day trips around the area.

It's a quiet residential neighborhood. The rooms were compact but our ensuite bath was huge. Sound carried quite a bit from other rooms but happily it seemed to be a quiet clientele and we slept very well here. All in all, a great stay!

The Carbisdale is a great B&B, and it's very close to the town centre so we didn't need to drive anywhere! Great breakfast and great hosts!

Thank you very much, we really enjoyed ourselves!
