The Parkhill Guest House is very convenient for the town center and in walking distance from the trains and buses. The room was very clean and had all the necessities though it was very small. The couple who run the Guest House are extremely helpful and friendly and readily give information about the town and how to get around. The dining room is very pleasant an breakfast was excellent. I had to leave early on the last day in order to catch the early morning train to London. I was willingly served an early breakfast. I can certainly recommend the Parkhill but advice asking about ther size of the room before booking.

Stayed here twice in August for weddings. It's a home from home, lovely friendly couple who are very helpful. Great breakfast selection & no waiting for it. Will definitely stay there anytime we are in Inverness.

We recently stayed at Parkhill Guest House in Inverness whilst visiting the surrounding area.We could not have picked a more suitable location in our opinion as it is situated in a quiet neighbourhood, but within easy walking distance into the City Centre of Inverness and easy access to get to other area's outwith Inverness. Our room was extremely comfortable, very clean and had all the neccesarry accessories you would need in an ensuite room.Once we checked in we were allowed our privacy, but as informed when we arrived we could ring the bell at any time if we needed anything. It was like home from home for us as we hardly saw anyone apart from Breakfast in the Dining room, which is a lovely spacious room and the Breakfast was your Traditional fully cooked to your requirements. All in all we have to give Parkhill Guest House top marks for our accommodation, hospitality and value for money.

The location of Park Hill is excellent, very close to the downtown and free parking. Breakfast was also very good, the host and hostess were very pleasant. The room in which we stayed at the 2nd floor was too small for the three of us. It is an attic room converted into a bedroom for 3 people and was too cramped with a double bed and another single bed. Bathroom was clean but again very tiny, so there was hardly any space to move in there.

We booked 2 nights at the Parkhill guesthouse in Inverness as part of our three-week trip in Scotland. We indeed stayed at a dozen guesthouses all across the country and we can say without any doubt that our two nights at Parkhill's were the worst.

Maybe we were unlucky to get the small double room on the ground floor facing the front door with view on the backyard, maybe we were the only ones to be annoyed day and night by the noise of people getting in and out the house and again maybe we were the only ones to be woken at 7am by the noises of the kitchen and the dining room.

So yes, maybe the other rooms upstairs are nice to stay but we would have preferred to know in advance that there was a chance we get this terrible room. And you might also prefer to know in advance that there is actually a chance you get this room too.

So ok, if at the end somebody has to get the noisy room. Fine. But at the end what disappointed us the most was the lack of manners of the owners when they asked us to pay upfront for the two nights as soon as we got into the house, not even had the time to see our double room or put down our luggage. This was the only B&B during our trip that actually did that. And we actually felt that they asked us to pay upfront for the whole stay because maybe they knew that after one night we would have asked to shorten our stay! So yes, we felt totally tricked.

Unfortunately these guests did not let us know that they had a problem when they stayed with us. If any guest has a complaint it is dealt with promptly and politely.
We do have occasions when we will provide guests with an early breakfast if they have a morning flight and this may have been the case when these guests were resident and could have been slightly disturbing.
Regarding payment, we always state in the booking e-mail, that payment is on arrival and is made when they register.
We do not rush our guests on arrival, we always take time to welcome them and give them information about locations, dinning times and assure them that we can be contacted by ringing the service bell. On this occassion they did not do this.
On departure, we always ask our guests if they have enjoyed their stay, these guest confirmed that they had. (confused. com???)
