Description: Since it opened in 2002, Rocpool Restaurant ha become an effervescent Inverness brasserie with a loyal fan base. A cool contemporary decor with lots of bare wood and bold colours give a buzzy vibe to the restaurant which is situated in a prime site on the banks of the River Ness. The kitchen has a repotoire of eclectic modern dishes which use Scotland's matchless produce sprinkled with Mediterranean sunshine, plus a pinch of exotic spice here and there.

I said we would be back! And delighted to report that our first visit wasn't just luck - everything from the quality of cuisine to the service and the wine was faultless.
Fresh English asparagus followed by a wonderful halibut dish for me, crab soup and shellfish linguini for her indoors, and mozzarella followed by venison for our son. Every single dish was top notch, and served with a smile.

Well done to all concerned - you may well see us again......

Booked before we went to Inverness on holiday as the reviews we so good and we weren't disappointed. Friendly and laid back staff who made you feel welcome and immediately comfortable. Food was excellent with the twice cooked goats cheese souffle amazing. Couldn't fault the rest of the food and prices reasonable for the excellent presentation and quality. Only wish we didn't live so far away or it would definitely make it a favourite for a Saturday evening.

Went for the early evening menu, as heading off to the theatre afterwards. Parking still a bit of a pain, as Inverness town centre is still partly 'under construction'. No idea when they are planning on ending all the roadworks. Just managed to get the last parking space in the church car park, which is just a couple of hundred yards past Rocpool (before Eden Court).

Had the scrambled egg & crab on toast to start, which was lovely. I love the fresh bread they bring round, especially the seeded brown bread, & it is hard to limit yourself to just a couple of pieces. I'm afraid that I had to go for the steak & rocket salad again, as the steak melts like butter in your mouth. All helped on their way by a very yummy glass of merlot. It's a while since I have been here, & must admit, have missed it.

I had dinner with my partner here a few weeks ago and we both had a fantastic night.

From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we were very impressed.

The staff were friendly with some entertaining chat. The service was excellent.

We both had seafood for starter and main courses. All cooked to perfection..........so delicious and burtsing with fantastic flavours!

We will most definately be back!
