The food here is awful...the vegetables that the tempura vegetables are made with are obviously the cheapest....could even be frozen, the batter is thick and tasteless. The 'beef' I had with my curry was tough and of the cheapest kind. The curry itself was just a hot Thaiish sauce that was instantly forgettable and the whole affair was not cheap; about £15 a head. This kind of 'cooking' just smacks of laziness and a chef who either knows nothing about Thai food or doesn't care. You'd be better sourcing the proper ingredients yourself and cooking it at home. This is not Thai food which is one of the most beautiful cuisines in the world....this is rubbish

We remain very puzzled by this review and regret you haven't responded to our emails querying your 'visit'.

We are unable to find, in recent weeks before your post, a copy of a bill that contains both an order for vegetable tempura and beef curry on it. We only have 34 covers and it is low season!

Equally you say it 'was not cheap about £15 per head' but for the meals quoted, we would be well over £20 per head as we use quality ingredients. We wonder if you have mixed us up with another restaurant where the prices would be similar to what you quote.

For clarification, we never use frozen veg, all our cooking staff are Thai born and bred and we buy only quality products .Please do study our reviews here and elsewhere.

We are not at all complacent and know that we don't get it right all the time and will always bend over backwards to ensure a happy customer.

Should you wish to present to us a copy of the bill (or even a credit card statement) to confirm that you did in fact visit us, I will refund double your bill and happily amend this reply.

Please note we will be closed from 23 December to 24 January inclusive, to allow staff to visit family and friends in Thailand . We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience.

Thank you for your kind comments.

Our staff are all born and bred in Northern Thailand and produce good authentic Thai food with an emphasis on quality customer care. We are very popular with Thai visitors, keen to enjoy food from their homeland, that they have been missing whilst on holiday. .

We hope you will visit again.

Had the chicken satay skewers for starters followed by the Duck Laab with jasmine rice. While everything was very tasty it was all a bit dry. Fine for the dry chicken as it came with a dip, but the Laab was hard going. Came to £25 a head for two courses and a non alcoholic drink each.

Sorry you found our food a bit dry. We would have been more than happy to remedy that at the time although would mention that Laab in Thailand is normally quite dry. Like you, I prefer it with a good bit of the lovely spicy juices, so can see where you are coming from. We hope you will visit again. Thank you.
