Stayed here for one night as a stopover on our first night of a trip round Scotland. Despite what we'd heard about Fort William being the Blackpool of Scotland, we thought it was nothing of the sort (coming from Blackpool ourselves, no disrespect to our town). The B&B is very good and Wilma and Jim were exceedingly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice and good quality food. The room was on the ground floor and was very comfortable and clean. There were one or two downsides however. There is no on-site parking and Wilma kindly provided us with a parking permit for the road. I was a little nervous of this as we have a brand new car and the road outside the B&B is quite narrow and busy for a one-way system. However, it did not cause a problem with the car but, being a very warm night, we had to have the bedroom window open all night and the traffic was noisy. All in all, I would recommend the B&B for anyone stopping off in Fort William for a short trip.

Room Tip: Room at the rear may be quieter

Hello Blackpool
Thanks for your kind review.I guess if its warm and windows are open you would get some street noise so apologies but its mostly rain here anyway.
There hasn't been a car damaged in the street for 25 years we have been here but if I had a new car I would be worried as well..
We enjoyed having you and having the craic with you.
All the best Wilma and Jim.

Once again Wilma and Jim made us feel so welcome after finishing the West Highland Way. The bedroom is cosy, clean and welcoming and breakfast is always fresh and nothing is any bother. We will always retutn when in Fort William.

Well-situated, convenient walking distance to restaurants, shops (even the hospital - but that is another story). The inn-keepers were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast with a variety of options (the smoked salmon with eggs was delicious). We were only there for one night, but our hosts made us feel like old friends.

A really large room with a four poster bed. Very central but quiet location. Everything was very clean. The owners are very friendly and help with the local tour information. The breakfast was very good and there is a choice between different variants. Somewhat disturbing are the wooden ceilings. This very creak..

Stayed here with my wife and two kids (5+3). Rooms were very clean and comfortable.
Location was very central to the main high street. There are two ways of getting to and from the high street from this B&B, with kids and a buggy we chose the flat route. Alternatively there is a small hill, which after a lovely meal, certainly gets you ready for bed!
Jim and Wilma were very pleasant to deal with. We will be back!

I would highly recommend this b&b if you are having a short visit. The owners were very friendly and the location was near perfect. However, the room was a bit small, and the bed was uncomfortable.

The location is very near the pedestrian street. However, it is on a steep hill. I found the climb refreshing after we had a meal and drinks in town. Others may find it less desirable.

Great coffee!

Hi Guys
Pleased with your mostly positive review. The mattress was just renewed and cost us over £200.
It is a memory foam mattress and perhaps you are not used to them
A recent guest asked us where we got it as she wanted to buy one it was so comfortable..We think you stayed in the four poster room.
Anyway I remember you comment about the coffee and thanks.
Jim and Wilma.

Stayed here for one last night. My whole experience was better than excellent and I have to admit I am very picky. Wilma and Jim certainly are in the right job as they are so helpful and friendly towards all their guests. Jim is such a character, both of them gives you the feeling that you have known them for years. Room was nice and spacious, spotless and in excellent order throughout. Everything you need for toiletries and plenty towels. Would you believe the TV actually works on all channels.......a rarity in other hotels and b and bs I have stayed in. Breakfast is made to order and plenty of it, again looked after very well. As we had a few hours to kill before our train (and it was pouring down with rain) they suggested we could go back there anytime to sit in the dry until time for the train, very thoughtful. Hopefully I will return in the not too distant future.

Room Tip: Don't need to leave any tips, everything excellent
