We booked on line without much research and were delighted with the choice. We received a friendly welcome and were shown to a high quality comfortable room. The breakfast was awesome with a beautifully laid out buffet table including fresh berries, fruit and muesli options followed by a perfectly cooked breakfast all served with professionalism and care. Then an interesting chat and friendly goodbye. Many thanks Andy and Sue.

That was lucky for both of us then elspeth d!! It was good to hear you enjoyed your short stay at Torlinnhe and that you enjoyed our breakfast buffet. We try to put a different selection out each day, sometimes berries, sometimes a fresh fruit salad, sometimes Melon and Strawberries etc. We enjoyed chatting with you - it is one of the best bits of the job for us, that and just watching the Loch for wildlife from our lounge window!! Hope to see you again sometime.

I've stayed in this guest house for three nights and absolutely loved it. The welcome you get is phenomenal and very personal. Sue takes her time in making you comfortable and has loads of suggestions for whatever you'd like to do. My bedroom was at the back of the house with only a view on the mountainside but the greenery was a welcome change. The room was spacious, the bathroom modern and everything was spotless clean and comfortable. In fact, I haven't slept as good as I did in Torlinnhe for months. Though I'm not especially tall, I often find myself unable to stretch out in a bed but not here. The perfect bed with soft bedding!
Breakfast was absolutely wonderful with a big choice at the buffet and the cooked breakfast was incredible. Everything is fresh and you can taste it. Andy manages the breakfast room perfectly well and it was just the perfect start of the day.
I've ordered a lunch pack to take with my on a day of walking and it was just perfect to get you through the day.
I'm certainly going back to Torlinnhe some time in the future because for me, it was heaven on earth and the best guest house I've been at when travelling through Scotland. Sue and Andy are flexible to ensure they can offer their guests everything they need. Absolutely wonderful!

Thank you blue_randall for your review. From your very generous words it seems you enjoyed your stay! We are so glad, especially that you slept well each night and enjoyed a good breakfast each morning. Did you see the deer in the woods from your bedroom window? They come down regularly to the fence and feed. Our dogs do tend to frighten them off quite quickly but often guests staying in our single room have seen them as they open the blinds in the early morning. If not, perhaps you will be lucky if you do manage back to see us in the future. We look forward to it. Meantime take care and enjoy your travels.

We stayed two nights in Torrlinhe BB while in Fort William. I can truly recommend Torlinnhe Guest House. It has spacious quality rooms on the second floor. Some rooms have view to the Peaceful Loch. The couple running the BB provided a great service all the time. Breakfast has nice options and awesome quality, with seasonal berries etc. The Guest house is not in the heart of Fort William, but it is only a short drive with a car. some quests also walked to the city center for dining. Highly recommended.

We have just spent two days here and loved, not only Fort William, but our wonderful accommodation in this lovely and welcoming guest house. Hosts Sue and Andy went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Our room was spotless, modern and furnished to a high standard, bed linen is a very high quality and towels are thick and fluffy. The ensuite looked brand new and the toiletries provided, again, a high quality. Breakfast , had everything you could wand and more, and was delicious. Thank you Sue and Andy for a great stay and going that bit extra.

Thank you Mary_Crothers for taking the time and trouble to place such a positive and kind review of your recent stay at Torlinnhe. It has been a funny year with many more late bookings than normal and even an empty room now and then! We are relieved that, despite the uncertainty of it all, we have been able to maintain standards and provide the levels of hospitality and comfort to which we always aspire. Hopefully you managed to see enough of our fantastic country to whet your appetite to come back before too long. It would be great to see you at Torlinnhe again, perhaps for a slightly longer stay next time - I promise we'll keep you busy :). In the meantime enjoy your travels!

We have just returned from a 2 night stay. Torlinnhe is excellant, spotlessly clean, comfortable and the best b and b we have stayed in. Our room was lovely, ensuite fantastic with local soap, shampoo etc (from the Highland Soap Company - so nice I bought some from the shop in Fort William) the towels were thick and soft and the bed linen was excellant. Breakfast was top quality with a fantastic choice. Throughout our stay nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. The guest lounge was really nice - again clean and very comfortable with a huge picture window overlooking the loch. We could not fault Torlinnhe, it was an absolute pleasure to stay and we can't recommend it highly enough.

What can I say in response to such a generous review frog3906? Except of course thankyou!
It is great to know we are up there with the best of your B&B experiences. Hopefully you will make it back to Fort William again soon - maybe when you run out of the fantastic Highland Soap products you bought in town? It is great to be able to use top quality local products in our ensuite shower rooms and many guests enjoy them as you did. We also try to use as much local/Scottish produce as possible in our breakfast offerings. Can't honestly say everything is local though - I don't know many places on the west coast that could grow pineapples for our fruit salads :). Hopefully though we get the balance right on breakfast between food miles, choice and variety - always with a view to freshness and quality! Sending you off for the day with a good breakfast inside you is a huge part of what we offer at Torlinnhe.

Spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds and rooms, free wi-fi, good showers, great breakfasts.... definitely recommended! Sue was also very helpful when we arrived, bringing us coffee and snacks, and recommending restaurants in the area. The view from the lounge over the loch is great, and it's a very comfy place to relax. Many thanks for a great stay.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Fort William area, look no further than Torlinnhe. This is somewhere truly special. Andy and Sue demonstrate what true Scottish hospitality is all about. We wished we could have stayed longer than our two nights, but hopefully we will manage back again.
Thank you Andy and Sue.
