I had been here a few years before but wanted to share this with my family whilst we were in the area.
As others have said getting there is not just parking in a car park and a quick stroll and you are there! It took us about an hour there and little quicker on the way back. The weather when we went was not great and was raining lightly all the time and I am so glad we all had appropriate footwear!
The walk itself can be quite narrow in places with quite large drops on one side but safe enough with a little care taken.
When you get to the waterfall it really is amazing, we did not go across the river to it however as we were already getting eaten alive by midges as we had forgotten to spray before we left!
I would recommend this to anyone, if you are visiting the highlands this is a must ..... and it's FREE!!

Beautiful walk which the kids enjoyed - but watch out for the midges! We were lucky to be there when it was sunny and dry but is was slippery in some places, we didn't wear 'speciality' clothing or footwear but managed the walk by taking care.

We did this walk with a 4 year old, while challenging in places it was not too hard going for her. You do need to be aware of the huge drops by the path in places and please follow advice and wear decent shoes. When getting there when directions say to keep going to the car park at the end of the road that really is what you need to do - keep going even when you think it must be wrong! The meadow and waterfall are well worth the effort. Be warned that to get to the waterfall you need to cross a wire bridge or be willing to wade through the water. The midges moved in quite early so cut our paddling time short but a lovely beginner level walk - enjoy it:-)

We enjoyed our walk to the falls very much, but be warned the walk through Glen Nevis is not as easy as it is sometimes described. Some parts of the path are rough and uneven and slippery. We made several people wearing flipflops or other absolutely inadequate footwear. The walk takes about 45 minutes, then there is a river to cross to get to the falls. It is possible to wade through the river or it can be crossed on a steel rope.
The falls are beautiful and absolutely worth the effort of the walk.

There's a reason this is #1 in Fort William on Trip Advisor. The views are really beautiful all along the way, and the destination is truly picturesque. Be advised that the hike is some arduous. It's a fairly steep elevation gain and the footing is occasionally a bit dodgy. But our group included hikers from 7 to 68 years old and we all managed just fine. Other reviewers mentioned the midges, and it's true, you'll have some insects do deal with. A little repellent would be very helpful.
